Mino Mieko (みの・みえこ) is a Canadian VTuber who speaks English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese, and Korean. She streams on Youtube and is known for her cute giggles, chaotic-comfy streams, and big hammer.
Personality[]
Mieko is a fun gremlin who prides herself on her 'all-rounder' skills. She is a digital artist who drew her own emotes, badges, and intro/ending screens. Mieko is also a musician who loves to sing and can play the piano, acoustic guitar, and electric guitar. She uses her polyglot abilities to communicate with international viewers and teach them words in the 5 languages she knows.
Mieko enjoys to play a variety of games such as puzzles, RPGs, and simulations. However, she is particularly skillful in mobile/tablet rhythm games. She is always exploring new games to expand her content but, she has a strong fear of horror games that include jump scares or suspense so she refuses to play them.
On stream, this gremlin may be a bit of an airhead with practically no filter. Don't let that fool you though because prior to becoming a full-time VTuber, she worked as a healthcare professional and has graduated from university with a bachelor degree in 'something healthcare related' and a minor in physiology!
Appearance[]
Mieko is 148cm (4'10.5) in height and has purple, turquoise, yellow, and white as her theme colours. She has two outfits - a dress and a one-piece as well as an oversized jacket with turquoise ribbons on the sleeves. The one-piece has Mieko's emblem across the chest and unique belly windows. Her left sock shows a diamond shaped thigh window as well. Mieko's hair is silver-gray twintails with purple and turquoise highlights and her eyes are purple-pink and an ahoge. Some of her key motifs are the gold tiara on her right twin-tail and a sparkle shaped clip.
Mieko has a hammer ('Hammer-kun') which is slightly taller than her. It's main features are the diamond spike on top, purple and blue ribbon in the centre, and purple and gold ribbon swirling around the staff.
History[]
Pre-debut[]
Mieko became interested in VTubing in December 2020 and designed her first model with minimal knowledge of digital art and spent some time getting to know the VTuber community. In April 2021, she created her Youtube channel. To save money for a Live2D model, Mieko started streaming using a PNG with overlays, emotes, and logo in May 2021 - all created by herself. On June 24, 2021, Mieko made her debut as a chibi VTuber known as Makino Mieko.
2021[]
Early in Mieko's career, she often posted piano covers recorded on her phone and streamed MapleStory, Henry Stickmin, BangDream, and Karaoke. She became a part of a non-official VTuber group called the 'Higanbana Familia' whom she still interacts and does collabs with presently. On October 24, 2021, Mieko put her chibi days behind her and debuted an anime-style model and became less 'filtered'. Her style of streaming changed to be less gaming oriented and more community-building with watch-a-longs, games with viewers, art and language lessons, and chatting/karaoke streams. She released a Goodbye Sengen cover and as of November 2021, Mieko has been a full-time VTuber.
2022[]
On June 4, 2022, Mieko re-debuted as Mino Mieko with a brand new model, lore, overlays, and BGM. Ever since, she has found her niche as a variety streamer with comfy chatting streams, language learning content, Nintendo Switch games, and artistic streams such as digital art, playing the piano or guitar, and singing. She released a collaboration cover of Blue Clapper by Hololive's 5th generation with some of the Higanabana Familia members, Ai Kotoba by Hatsune Miku and DECO*27 with Sakura Himegimi, and her most recent cover is of Q by Calliope Mori, Gawr Gura, and DECO*27. At the end of the year, she played Pokémon Violet and Genshin Impact which led to her channel's exponential growth.
2023[]
The start of the year highlighted some new beginnings for Mieko's channel. She made Genshin Impact her main gaming content, but still manages to deliver Just Chatting and variety content as well. Mieko attended her first Meet and Greet through Kawa Entertainment at Ikkicon 2023 and her first Physiology 101 stream on the cardiovascular system which has propelled her to create more educational content. On May 3rd, Mino Mieko was publicly announced to be a part of Kawa Entertainment's second generation, Abyss, alongside her genmates Pastaroni Ravioli and Kuromiya Lucien. The trio made their official debut on May 6th. From June 16 through June 18, she and fellow Kawa members made an appearance at Offkai Expo, with a booth, concert, and handful of panels! Mie herself attended virtually and had Meet and Greets with those attending Offkai Expo.
2024[]
On the 10th of January, Kawa Entertainment announced their talent branch as dissolved, so Mie went back to being an independent vtuber.[1]

After ending stream one night, Mieko heard a voice calling out to her from her basement. There, she found a large box. Upon opening it, a large shining hammer floated out. The moment she touched it, she was transported to the skies where she sat on a cloud as the hammer gave her two offers. The first was to trade her boobas for immortality. The second offer was to take the hammer's name to attain all of its powers such as super strength and the power to control the wind. These abilities would aid Mieko as an angel-in-training to maintain this world's happiness. She agreed instantly and was gifted the uniform of an angel-in-training. Upon her return from the skies, she decided that every time she was done protecting the world from above, she would stream to spread happiness to fulfill her mission of spreading happiness throughout the world over the internet!
