Mochizuki Hoguno (望月ほぐの) is a female Japanese Virtual YouTuber affiliated with Uniraid!, an isekai-themed VTuber agency. She started in 2023 as a trainee of ENILIS Inc.'s HareVare Virtual LiveStreamer training program and group. She completed her training in 2024 and debuted in Uniraid!, along with Uno Rabi, Mizukami Souta, Amanari Jyui, Suiboshi Asuto, and Sakamoto Kon as a member of ZWEI, Uniraid!'s Generation 2.
While in HareVare, she was known as Kamiya Hoguno (神夜ほぐの).

Profile[]
Back in the real world, Hoguno was an assistant at a school infirmary, as the self-proclaimed "guardian deity of the infirmary." However, she met a mysterious black cat named "Kuromaru" who served as the trigger for her reincarnation in another world. After this, she met the members of ZWEI by chance, and found herself joining them in the hopes of changing herself from the way she used to be.[2]
Personality[]
Hoguno has a polite and rather shy, yet excitable and emotional personality with a soft-spoken voice. She is often very expressive and can speak quickly when excited. She has a habit of writing down notes on paper and later organizes the information on her PC. She's also a strongly indoor-type person who would rather have others come to her house, rather than go outside to visit theirs.

Hoguno has short dark blue hair with bright blue highlights and underdye. She has heterochromatic eyes with an indigo iris on her left eye and a cyan iris on her right eye.

Background[]
On 2 September 2023, Kamiya Hoguno debuted on IRIAM as part of the HareVare VLiveStreamer Training Program.[3]
On 8 November 2024, she graduated from HareVare to become a full-fledged VTuber under one of Brave Group's VTuber projects.[4]
Her Twitter account was created in August 2023, while her YouTube channel was created on 12 November 2024.
2024[]
On 30 November, after rebranding to Mochizuki Hoguno, she held her debut on YouTube as a member of Uniraid!.[1]
On 21 December, she celebrated her channel getting monetized.[5]
2025[]
On 12 April, Hoguno did a commemorative stream and Marshmallow Q&A reading to celebrate her channel reaching 10,000 subscribers.[6]
On 24 August, she held a commemorative stream to celebrate her YouTube channel reaching 20,000 subscribers.[7]
On 6 September, she celebrated her first birthday stream.[8]
Starting in October, her channel received a noticeable boost in subscribers, coming from her first-time participation in the MADTOWN GTA event. On 29 October, her channel surpassed 40,000 subscribers - 2 days before the event was over.[9]
By the first week of November, she was listed at #1 out of 40 in Vmato!'s Weekly VTuber Subscriber Growth Ranking (for VTubers under 100k subs), ahead of fellow MADTOWN newcomers Mitsuba Eni, Amayo Liz and Hoshimiya Choco.[10]
On 5 November, her channel surpassed 50,000 subscribers.[11] On 11 November, she held her 50k subscriber milestone commemorative stream.[12]
Events[]
- From 1 October to 31 October 2025, Hoguno participated in the MADTOWN GTA event server organized by the Japanese eSports team Crazy Raccoon. She joined the small-time criminal group Chinroutou (朕狼党), based at a bar owned by Kenki, and also part-timed at the "RiTunes Music Bar" owned by Rikka.[13][14] She was a soft-spoken street thug who remained polite even when doing crime, and did it barefoot "as a sign of her delinquency." She also writes fanfiction, and became known during an in-game fashion show for making an elaborate and incredibly detailed backstory about her outfit,[15] as well as for being one of two lucky winners to pull Ono Kensho's personally recorded voice tapes from a gacha.[16]

- Her mascot is a black cat named "Kuromaru" with two blue flames from its ears, two black wings and two black-blue gradient tails.
- Her fans are called "Hoguno ga Iki GUYS" (ほぐのが生きGUYS). While in HareVare, her fanbase was called "Hogumin" (ほぐ民).

- In October 2025, during MADTOWN, she got asked why she started VTubing, and she said "I wanted to leave proof of my existence." - she had felt unneeded and began to wonder what her purpose in life was. After that realization, she began wanting to be needed by somebody.[17]
- In the same conversation, she also shared a story about how she joined the light music club in high school by herself, aspiring to become a band drummer; but ended up becoming a ghost member after an embarrassing incident during a concert, which turned into a trauma for her.[17]
