NIJIGEN Project or simply known as NIJIGEN , is a Japan-based Vietnamese Virtual YouTuber agency based in Ho Chi Minh city, Viet Nam. Founded by Niji Universe Inc., NEO NAGASHIMA and Alice in Project.
History[]
2021[]
On 6 June, NIJIGEN posted information about the NIJIGEN Project.[1]
On 5 July, NIJIGEN posted a teaser video about Ban Mai.[2]
On 4 August, NIJIGEN posted a teaser video about Du Ca.[3]
On 9 August, based on the need to expand and further develop the Vtuber segment in Vietnam, NijiGen "ANNOUNCEMENT OF RECRUITMENT COLLABORATORS FOR NIJIGEN VTUBER PROJECT".[4]
On September 5, NijiGen held a Q&A stream to answer questions and feedbacks from fans about the project, also information about NijiGen's current and future plans. The stream featured Fuu, Zavie (producer) and Nagi (manager).[5]
On 9 September, NIJIGEN's Facebook account announced about GEN2 audition. According to the announcement, the opening time for receiving applications is October 10.[6]
On 10 October, NIJIGEN announced the opening of Gen 2 auditions, which ended on November 11.[7]
2022[]
On 8 March, NIJIGEN released a statement correcting misinformation about the NIJIGEN project and the members of the project.[8]
On 27 March, NIJIGEN upload a short video introducing the 2nd Generation also known as "Colors Of Wishes". Arcording to the video, the 2nd generation consist of 3 members corresponding to 3 wishes: Happiness, Charm, and Energy.[9]
On 27 April, NIJIGEN officially announced their 2nd Generation consisting of 3 members Kisaki Thiên Trà (Happiness), Misora Kanon (Charm), and Natsumi Hạ Chi (Energy).[10]
On 2 May, NIJIGEN posted a video on Facebook page, revealing a name "Gen 2.5."[11]
On 15 August, NIJIGEN uploaded a teaser video, officially introducing their 2.5 Generation consisting of twin sisters Nika Lan Linh and Nika Linh Lan. They would debut on 20 August 2022.[12]
2023[]
On 31 December, NIJIGEN officially announced their 3rd generation with only one member Kitou An Sa.[13]

- The name "NIJIGEN" is Niji Generation. "NIJIGEN" also means "2D" in japanese (二次元)
- "NIJI" is derived from "Niji" in Niji Universe Inc. "NIJI" also means "rainbow" in English which is the 1st generation's name.
