Na Sera (나세라) is a female Korean Virtual YouTuber affiliated with NIJISANJI, formerly a sixth wave member of the previous NIJISANJI KR branch, along with Ko Yami, Ha Yun, and Lee On.

Profile

A retired magical girl/mahou shojo who used to save the universe, but lost her job due to the world becoming too peaceful. She is now managing her budget with idol activities after passing a certain audition in the earth.

Personality

Sera is calm and light-hearted, but can sometimes be chaotic. In contrast to her adorable appearance and voice, her sense of humor is rather peculiar, much like her fellow ex-NIJISANJI KR member So Nagi; while she claims to be "seiso," she has a tendency of swearing in frustration or shouting very loud when playing video games, and occasionally becoming menhera when the situation doesn't turn as she intended.

Sera can also be described as a "NIJISANJI fangirl-turned-Liver," in that she gives a lot of supports towards her fellow NIJISANJI Livers; for example, when Hyakumantenbara Salome debuted, Sera was quickly influenced by Salome's speech pattern; she gradually got emotional so that she became in tears as she talks with Mayuzumi Kai and Miyu Ottavia during their respective call-in streams before their retirements; and she jokingly asking if Levi Elipha cares about her or not during the latter's birthday stream. She also watches other NIJISANJI Livers' streams quite often, and can sometimes be seen on their chat.

Outside of her fellow ex-KR branch Livers, Sera particularly gets along well with ex-NIJISANJI ID Livers, especially who also speak Japanese, considering ZEA Cornelia her girlfriend and talking with Nara Haramaung very friendly; in Spring 2022, partially due to the merger of NIJISANJI KR into the main branch, her collaborations with the main branch Livers has significantly been increased, often interacting with the Livers like Sakura Ritsuki, Belmond Banderas, Gwelu Os Gar, Nagao Kei, Sorahoshi Kirame, Seraph Dazzlegarden and so on.

Appearance

She has long, light pinkish hair with pink hair streaks in twintails and an ahoge and light purple eyes. She has pink hair ribbons with a magical girl staff that has a crescent moon shape and a mostly white dress with pink accents.

History

Background

On 25 August, 2021, the sixth generation of NIJISANJI KR members were revealed, as well as their Twitter accounts. On 27 August, 2021, it was announced the members would hold their debut streams on 1 September, 2021. Sera was the third of the four to debut.

2021

On 18 October, she opened her membership up

On 3 November, she released her first official cover song "AIKOTOBAⅢ / 愛言葉Ⅲ" by DECO*27 as a way of celebrating her birthday. The cover was a duet featuring Seffyna.

On 12 December she reached 100,000 subscribers on YouTube.

2022

On 15 January, she released her second official cover song "アニマル" by DECO*27.

On 15 April, along with the merger of NIJISANJI ID and NIJISANJI KR into the main branch, Sera is now officially affiliated with NIJISANJI.

On 28 May, Sera announced that she will stream at 7AM, 2PM or a guerrilla stream the following day depending on how early she get up. On that day, she was able to get up early and stream at 7AM; since then she started hosting a regular morning chatting/zatsudan streams, starting at 7:10AM (JST/KST) on weekdays as of late July 2022.

On 30 May, Sera reached 20,000 subscribers on YouTube during a Minecraft stream.

On 17 June, Sera's model was upgraded to 2.0 version during a stream.

On 30 June, Sera, along with Ha Yun and So Nagi, debuted her VRChat chibi 3D model during a stream.

On 1 August, Sera reached 30,000 subscribers during a Stray stream.

On 1 September, Sera and Ha Yun celebrated their 1-year anniversary with a collaboration stream.

On 22 September, Sera reached 40,000 subscribers during a Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout stream.

Events

• On 3 August 2022, Sera was announced to be one of ex-KR Livers participating in the NIJISANJI Fes 2022 event held on 1 and 2 October; however on 29 September her appearance, along with Min Suha and Seffyna, was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
• On 16 October 2022, Sera participated in the NIJISANJI Splatoon Festival tournament as team 3 along with Sasaki Saku, Todoroki Kyoko and Ratna Petit.

Fans

• Her fans are called "Kesera" (케세라). They are represented by a pink cat-like creature with Sera's cowlick and bow, seen in her "Honto no Watashi" cover.

Identity

• Sera's name comes from the English phrase "que sera, sera," meaning "whatever will be, will be."
• Her magical stick weighs 50kg and is apparently able to speak.
• When Sera played NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE, she claimed that she doesn't transform like the common concept of magical girl/mahou shojo, because she was already born with such abilities.
• Sera's first language is Korean but is also extremely fluent in Japanese; she almost exclusively uses the latter on YouTube streams, and can translate interchangeably between the two languages. She also knows some English.
• She has one younger brother; he often acts as a solver when Sera has mechanical difficulties.
• In August 2022, Sera adopted a dog, named "Pina" after fellow KR Liver Seffyna.
• Before becoming a Liver, Sera once had a announcer job; she used to speak with much more lower-pitched voice, similar to how she sings in some of her cover songs back then.
• Her favorite NIJISANJI Livers are Amamiya Kokoro and Debidebi Debiru.
• She dislikes insects.
• Occasionally, Sera lowers the chroma of her model, identified as a "dark mode"; it also appears in one of her YouTube membership emotes.

Miscellaneous

• She shares her character designer with Yukihana Lamy of hololive and independent VTuber CookieSwirlC. Because of this some of her fanbase are also a part of Lamy's fanbase.
• Around May to June 2022, Sera became somewhat infamous for her antics when playing Minecraft:
  • When building a ferris wheel, she fell from high height and died extremely often so that Keseras started poking fun of it, even when playing other games such as Mario Party Superstars and Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout.
  • She became associated with Taka Radjiman's Parkour Tower due to her continuous struggles coming from its severe difficulty, to the point that she jokingly called Taka a devil.
• She can imitate fellow KR Liver Yang Nari's voice well.
• A running joke among fellow KR Livers and Keseras is that Sera doesn't wear any panties under her dress; she is also often teased by Keseras that she doesn’t have a nose due to it being barely noticeable.
