Nabi (なび) (formerly known as Aoi Nabi (蒼彩なび)) was a female independent Korean Virtual YouTuber and illustrator who debuted on 2 May 2021.

Appearance

She has long, straight dark blue hair with blue eyes and white earrings with a large blue butterfly shaped hair accessory. She wears a whtie coat with a ribbed turtle neck underneath with a slight boob window.

History

Background

Her Twitter account was created on October 2018 and her YouTube Channel was created in 21 March 2021, however Nabi did not make her debut until 2 May.

2021

On 3 May (JST), just after 28 minutes from her debut, she reached 100,000 subscribers.

On 11 May, she reached over 200,000 subscribers.

At some point in July, she created a secondary Twitter account, which is mainly used for her VTuber activities, while her main account is focused on posting illustrations.

On 16 October, she celebrated over 300,000 subscribers.

2022

Hiatus

On 21 February, Nabi announced that she would be suspending her streaming activities indefinitely due to academic reasons. At some point after, all of her stream archives were unlisted except for her song covers, and her original Twitter and Tumblr accounts were deactivated.

On 16 May, Nabi unlisted or deleted all of her videos and stream archives, including song covers, from both YouTube and Twitch. She uploaded a new cover on her channel on 28 May along with restoring some of her previous covers.

On 7 June, Nabi tweeted that she would tentatively be returning to streaming by March or April of 2023.

Starting on 26 June until August, she had some brief chatting streams in order to keep contact with everyone.

In early December, she visited Austria and met up with hololive member Takanashi Kiara. She subsequently took a hiatus from social media around 13 December, and deleted or privated all content on her YouTube channel. On 22 December, Kiara confirmed that Nabi's account had not been hacked. Additionally, Kiara confirmed that Nabi had not gotten sick, as had been rumored after Kiara's illness.

2023

In February, she made a post on her YouTube Community page announcing that she was planning to move back to Korea by 29 March, hoping to return to streaming by that time.

On 14 April, she held her first stream in over a year, revealing a new outfit, blue dress adorned in white ribbons.

On 16 September, she announced that she would be ceasing her streaming activities again, likely for good as she wished to focus her time on her education and her job as an illustrator. All streams would be either delisted or removed while her channel memberships would be taken down a month later.

• Before becoming a VTuber herself, Nabi made the character design for other VTubers like Watson Amelia of hololive, Amatsuka Uto, Himukai Kogane and Shiratori Rena of VOICE-ORE, Tomo-chan, and Alice Mana.
• Nabi natively speaks Korean and is quite fluent in Japanese and is learning English.
• She likes streams, listening to music, looking at illustrations, food, something cute (cute things), voice, Netflix and Shabu-Shabu.
