Nana7mi or Nanami (七海 Qīhǎi) is a female Chinese Virtual UP (bilibili content creator) from VirtuaReal second generation alongside Ichigo and Kouichi.

Nanami is an ordinary highschool girl who has a mild case of the Chuunibyou syndrome that often talks about how she will "conquer the seven seas".
She likes to sing and play games at home with her shark hoodie on, and spends almost all of her money and savings on her personal hobby to make her house look like a super high-tech aquarium.
Although her friends around her will make fun of her dreams and ambitions, she would always respond with powerful and decisive answers that will amaze them everytime.[3]

As a streamer[]

Nanami enjoys playing video games for a long time. At time this develops into late night endurance streams that test his fans' ability to stay up late (alternatively, allowing fans from other time zones to watch at convenient times). Her favorite game for a long while was Apex Legend. But she has also branched out into many different games, including AAA games like Dark Soul series, Death Stranding, etc.

Nanami doesn't handle stress very well, and can show a side of vulnerability when things are out of control.

Nanami is famous for her streams that start at typically 9 PM and sometimes continue up to the 4 or 5 AM next day. When she finishes a stream, there is a ritual that she performs, which is to say ”Good Night“ directly to a sample of viewers. This often becomes a fierce competition.

She has long brown hair with braids on the sides and hair accessories. Her eyes are a light brown and wears a hoodie with a shark head/hood.

Debut[]

On 11 June 2019, VirtuaReal announced their second generation of Virtual Livers, including Nanami, in an article accompanied by their designs and profiles. Nanami made her first dynamic on the same day.[4]

On 13 June 2019, Nanami released her first video, a self-introduction.

On 15 June, Nanami made their debut stream on bilibili.[5]

2020[]

On 26 April, Nanami reached 100,000 subscribers on bilibili.[6]

On 15 August, attended VirtuaReal 夏日合唱SP (Summer Chorus SP)[7]

On 25 November, Nanami reached 200,000 subscribers on bilibili.[8] VirtuaReal celebrated it with a special illustration.

2021[]

On 2 Janauary. participated in VirtuaReal's first Music Mix Up!! 3D concert[9]

On 11 February, Nanami appeared in Bilibili New Year Gala comedy sketch, "今晚吃啥" (What to Eat Tonight?) along with Kero and Shirakami Haruka.[10]

On 28 February, Nanami reached 400,000 subscribers on bilibili.[11]

On 1 April, Nanami, Ruki, Aza, and Roi in the VirtuaReal April's Fool 3D Game Show, "时守星沙的管理室" (Tokimori Seisa's Admin Room).[12]

On 5 June, Nanami held her first solo 3D concert, "这个好诶" (This is Nice) . Hanser, Ruki, Roi, Aza, and NIJISANJI's Lize Helesta and Makaino Ririmu. The concert was held at the Bandai Namco Shanghai Base.[note 1][13]

On 9 July, Namami performed on Bilibili Macro Link music fest along with Eine, Ruki, Azusa, Kero.[14] Attended Bilibili World 2021 convention.[15]

On 15 July, Nanami celebrated her birthday with a 3D stage. During the stream Nanami reached 1000 captain (premium membership). Bilibili celebrated it with a banner.[16]

On 28 July, Nanami reached 500,000 subscribers on bilibili.[17]

On 8 August, participated in VirtuaReal "APEX夏日娱乐赛" (APEX Summertime Casual) along with Aza and Susam.[18]

On 23-25 August, participated in VirtuaReal 夏日合唱ProMax (Summer Chorus ProMax) 3D concert.[19]

On 29 October, Nanami participated in Jiangsu TV's virtual idol talent show 2060.[20]

On 8 December, participated in VirtuaReal Music Mixup!! 2.0 3D concert[21]

2022[]

On 23 January, held the first "脆鲨杯" Crispy Shark Cup custom APEX game.

On 31 January, Nanami guest appearance in Bilibili New Year Gala comedy sketch, "健身房鲨人事件" (the Murder at Gym), which stars Hanser, Mieli, Hiiro, Mayumi.[22]

On 13 March, XiaoHaiZi (Kero, Nanami, Azusa) released the first single as a unit, 流星 Falling Star.[23]

On 20 March, Nanami unveiled her 3.0 brushup.[24] She was the first Liver outside of the main NIJISANJI branch to receive a 3.0.[25]

On 22-24 April, held Crispy Shark Cup custom APEX game Season 2. It was sponsored by the namesake brand, Nestle's Crispy Shark chocolate bar.[26] Aza, Azusa, and Susam participated as a special guest team.

On 28 May, participated in VirtuaReal 3rd Anniversary celebration stream: Performed the song "寄明月" with Azusa and Kero.[27]

On 27 May, Nanami, Kanae and Kiti had an Apex Legends collaboration together.[28] Bilibili commemorated this event with a unique banner.

On 4 June, participated in Nijisanji Apex tournament along with Elu and Debidebi Debiru.

On 15 July, Nanami celebrated birthday and released a new black shark hoodie costume[29]. The purpose of the costume is to serve as the new "default" look and take the place of the original shark hoodie costume. It is designed by 阿兔朋友 and illustrated by 林檎果仔.

On 23-24 September, participated in VirtuaReal 夏日合唱Super (Summer Chorus Super) 3D concert.[30]

On 30 October, the second single from XiǎoHǎiZǐ, 限定游戏 Limited Game released. The MV featured new 3D models and choreography.[31] Special NFT product was released along with the single.[32] Later on 7 December, The 3D models were later made into Live2D costumes.[33] The song was very successful and reached 100,000 views on Bilibili.[31]

2023[]

On 17 February, performed at Bilibili stage in Huaqiangbei, Shenzhen[34]

On 15 April, participated in the 3RD MUSIC MIX UP!! 3D live concert[35]

On 24 April, Nanami served as the host for the VirtuaReal 4th Anniversary special program, involving Aza, hanser, C-chan, Hiiro, Xingtong.[36]

On 6 May, participated in the Churyūn Custom organized by Churyūn (Higuchi Kaede, Yorumi Rena, Matsukai Mao). She teamed up with Susam and Hoshimi.[37]

On 19 May, revealed her eighth costumes, a summer school uniform and an autumn school uniform. She also released a cover of SOS from The Idolmaster Shiny Colors for the occasion.[38]

On 16 June, Nanami held her four anniversary celebration with a 3D stream and revealed a new 3D model based on her new hoodie outfit.[39] Azusa assisted with dance and MC. Kero was unfortunately not able to appear physically and instead appeared remotely.

On 21-23 June, Nanami participated in VirtuaReal's VR-Cup Calabiyau tournament with teammates Aza, Susam, Mayumi, and Girimi.[40] They won the first place of the tournament.

On 25 June, XiaoHaiZi participated in Tiktok's Project Idou 3D stage.[41]

  • Second Generation - Nanami, Ichigo and Kouichi are debut-mates.
    • "光八海" Guāng-8（bā）-hǎi - Kouichi and Nanami. The name is a play on merging 光一（1） and 七（7）海 into 光八（8）海. The two have a dynamic where Nanami likes to make fun of Kouichi, but overall in a friendly way.
      • Nanami said that Kouichi likes to make jokes that nobody understands and is too intellectual.[43]
      • Kouichi's connection with a friend helped landed on a collaboration opportunity to have a batch of Zotac GeForce RTX3080 graphic card produced with Nanami's illustration printed on its shell.[44]
  • "敢敢心心" GǎnGǎn-XīnXīn - Nanami and Ruki. An official duo often featured alongside ROZA and Eine.
  • "VRSKT" / "VR烧烤摊" VR ShāoKǎoTān - Nanami, Mitsusa, Hoshimi, Yagi and Aza. The name is a parody of a famous Korean e-Sports team SKT.
    • "兔鲨" Bunny Shark - Mitsusa and Nanami. The two became very close during the training for the Summer Chorus event in 2020.
    • Aza - Both are frequent performers at VirtuaReal events and have a lot of time working together indirectly.
  • "小海梓" XiǎoHǎiZǐ - Nanami, Kero, and Azusa
    • "梓鲨小队" ZǐShā Squad or simply "梓鲨" ZǐShā - Nanami and Azusa. The long name is a parody on Suicide Squad.
  • "蛮族海賊団" Barbarian Pirates - Nanami, Naraka, So Nagi and Nun Bora. These four were a team for 虹海賊王決定戦 (Blazing sails tournament).
  • "海猫小队" HǎiMāo Squad - Nanami and Hiiro. They both like to play Apex and collaborated on several songs and stage performances.
  • C-chan - They are both gamers and collaborated on several occasions. Nanami voiced the opening for C-chan's monthly series of game preview videos.[45]
  • "星辰大海" Star and Sea - Nanami and Xingtong. They met at Jiangsu TV's virtual reality show 2060 and became very good friends.
  • hanser - They collaborated on several occasions. Nanami gave a star projector as a gift to hanser. Hanser appeared on Nanami's concert and birthday 3D stage.
  • Makaino Ririmu - Nanami said Ririmu was her favorite NIJISANJI senpai upon debut. Ririmu appeared on Nanami's solo concert.

  • Special skills (as in her VirtuaReal profile): Fish people talk, falling asleep anytime anywhere, can sleep very long[1]
  • "Qīhǎi" and "Nanami" both literally mean "seven seas".
    • "Nanami" is a common name in Japan and shared with a lot of characters, she decided to add the "7" in her name (Nana7mi) to make it a bit more unique. Also because it is used by a lot of e-sports pro gamers.[49]

  • Likes: Sleeping, lemon ice cream tea, every tasty thing[1], playing games including Apex and Rainbow 6[2]
    • She explained her special method of enjoying a lemon ice cream tea.[50] It has also become a virtual gift specially made for her by Bilibili.
  • Dislikes: Unappetising things[1]

Fans[]

  • Nanami's fans are called "脆鲨" (Crispy Shark). This is basically the same name as Nestle's brand of chocolate bar in China.[51] Nanami stated that she picked this name because she likes the snack. In April, 2021, the namesake brand sponsored an Apex custom game that she organized.[26]

Miscellaneous[]

  • Though Nanami's dream is to cross the seven seas, going outside is too tiring for her, plus, she can't play games.[2]
  • Even though she is a shark she can't swim.
  • Nanami is the second VirtuaReal member to be visited by police after Karu, in her case being mistaken for a Kris Wu fan due to some trolls impersonating her.
  • Nanami has a male Maine Coon cat named 挠挠 (Scratchy). His full name is supposed to be 诺克提斯 (Noctys?)[52]
  • Nanami is a big fan of Honma Himawari, and remains loyally in Himawari's Bilibili membership. Nanami talked about her excitement after first talking to Himawari over discord.[53]
