Neena Makurano (枕にいな) was a female Virtual YouTuber and formerly a member of Kawaii's 2nd generation alongside Aruru Gray, Namiji Freesia, Shee Icho and Lua Asuka.

I come from another dimension! My world is full of kitsunes. We come in all shapes and sizes. My true form is a black/pink Kitsune. My curiosity of other worlds led me to travel with my companion Otikuma to Earth and meet humans! I speak my own language, but you won't understand it, so I've learnt English so far and am learning Japanese, so I'll appreciate all help you can give me! I became a VTuber on your world so I can meet humans and become the greatest of friends! YAY! I fell in love with the Japanese culture most, so wearing a kimono was my favorite style. The cherry blossom on my jewelry comes from my home planet, which is why I love Japan so much! It feels like my home away from home!
I lost one of my earrings in my travels, so if you find it, please return it! I miss it. :(
Personality[]
Neena has a very optimistic and outgoing personality. She loves conversing with her fans, the Bloomins, and will occasionally utter an "un-seiso" word or two just to see how they'll react once they realize what she just said (said impish behavior is why fans have come to appreciate her). She is very competitive when it comes to games, most especially on FPS (first-person shooter) games such as Apex Legends - which she had spent innumerable hours on even before she became a VTuber. She is hardworking in and out of her VTuber career and makes it a point to maintain a positive, fun-seeking outlook in life.
Neena frequently visits her Kawaii senpais and genmates, and other VTuber friends whenever they are seen streaming. She once stated that if she had time in her hands, instead of doing a Twitter Space, she would prefer hopping onto her gaming chair and stream. She posts a variety of content, ranging from zatsudan streams, gaming streams, VR streams, reaction streams, YouTube shorts, meme videos, and song covers. She had also recently branched out to doing a weekly podcast stream.

Background[]
Neena's YouTube channel was created on 17 October 2021. Her Twitter account was created in October and she started tweeting right after Kawaii announced her upcoming debut on 31 October.[1] She debuted on 5 November, 2021.
2021[]
On 7 November, Neena released her first official cover song "Counting Stars" by OneRepublic.
On 9 November, Neena held her first collaboration with Isla Coleman, a member of Kawaii's 1st Generation where they played "Apex Legends" together.[2]
On 19 November, Neena became a YouTube partner.[3]
On 24 December, Neena and her fellow Kawaii members collaborated on a cover song Last Christmas by Wham!. This was also her first official collaboration cover song.
On 25 November, Neena held her first collaboration with a member of PRISM Project, Rikudou Yura in the game "Apex Legends."[4]
On 26 November, Neena opened her YouTube channel's membership feature.[5]
2022[]
On 2 January, Neena reached 10,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel during her Sea of Thieves gaming stream.[6]
On 2 February, Neena celebrated her birthday on her YouTube channel.[7] Among the many presents she received from the Bloomins, she received a short video presentation from her chat moderator 'AimsKey' of him and friends gathering together to greet and dance for Neena. This video was met with great appreciation by Neena and the Bloomins and had been posted on her YouTube channel.
On 1 March, Neena announced that she created a FANBOX account for fans to join, with varying membership tiers and perks.[8]
On 21 March, during a stream "I GOOGLED MYSELF", Neena discovered she had a Wiki page dedicated to her.[9]
On 30 March, Neena debuted a podcast series called "Neena's All-In Podcast," the first episode taking place on the same day. Each new episode will take place Wednesday of every week and feature varying topics of discussion. Neena also intends to invite special guests to the podcasts in in the form of close friends and VTuber acquaintances.[10][11]
Retirement[]
On 27 May, production kawaii's Twitter announced that Neena would be graduating from the agency on 2 August 2022. She also held a stream to announce it.[12][13]
On 3 June, production kawaii released a statement terminating their contract with Neena with immediate effect due to some breach of contract on her part. The notice alleged that she leaked company confidential information, false information to a third party, and that she was involved in VTuber activities outside the company which violates her exclusive contract, causing the company and other affiliated members to suffer reputational damage and financial loss. Her YouTube channel and membership would be closed by the end of June and her merch on BOOTH would end on 5 June. Regarding the Kickstarter project, Backers who requested Neena's rewards, they can select another member as their reward or cancel the pledge for a refund.[14][15] Her FANBOX account was closed a few hours after the termination statement, her Twitter account was changed to protected mode.
Neena retired without a graduation stream, her last stream on her YouTube channel and last tweet about members' gift on 2 June was her early goodbye to her fans.[16][17] All of her channel's content was deleted on 30 June.[18]

- Neena's fans are called "Bloomins", which is a portmanteau for blooming humans.
- Her Oshi marks are chopsticks (because she loves ramen, sushi) and cherry blossom (her world's special flower).
- Her YouTube channel members are called "Blossoms."

- Neena can speak English and a bit of Japanese.
- She likes boba tea/coffee, chocolate and ramen (together), horror, video games, TV shows/movies, and autumn.
- Her hobbies are singing, voice acting, baking, gaming, drawing and painting.
- She dislikes water, smoke, spicy foods, no internet and heights.
- When bored or looking to be inspired, she plays games and/or watch anime. When inspired, she likes to travel.[20]
- She did all her overlays (not the art).[21]
- She can do a very solid impression of Horizon from Apex Legends.
- She has a habit of rolling her Rs as her 'kitsune growl', as well as when she's saying words with the letter R in them. 
- She has a talent for arts and crafts when she was a "kit" (young kitsune), such as making ninja kunais out of resin. She showed some of her creations during a Q&A Maro reading and discussion stream.[20]
- She strongly condemns untoward backseating and will not hesitate to call it out during her gaming streams.
- She shares the same character designer (Mashu) with Isla Coleman, her senior in Kawaii.
