Personality[]

Nova has a tomboyish, energetic, and outgoing personality. Her streams are typically highly interactive since she makes it a point to engage with viewers as much as possible. It is rather common for her to go on various side tangents based upon topics that are brought up by her or the chat even if they are not related to the theme of the stream. A common topic she tends to discuss at least once during most of her streams is Yu-Gi-Oh! since she is an avid fan of the series.

Nova is a very passionate fan of Japanese and anime-related media in general. It's rather common for her to gush about topics within this niche such as rolling for attractive male characters in Genshin Impact or her favorite character ships in the Persona series.

Nova is also very well versed in meme culture and she does not pass up an opportunity to troll her audience. She will frequently refer to ideas and entities she approves of as being "pog," "fire," or "based." Despite her playful side, she clearly values her fans and frequently refers to them as close friends by calling them "homies" or "besties."

Nova retains a very positive and upbeat attitude throughout the majority of her streams. She often laughs along with her viewers either due to comments made in chat or due to something she does or says herself. Her laugh is notoriously infectious. At its max power her laugh will reach a pitch that makes it sound like someone is scrubbing a glass surface. Once her laugh reaches this level it is nigh impossible for one to resist smiling along as well.

2023[]

On 22 January, she debuted her second outfit, strongly inspired by the esthetic of Yu-Gi-Oh! duelists, with a duel disc integrated to her left arm.

On 27 March, Nova's YouTube channel hit 30,000 subscribers.[1]

On 19 July, Nova reached 40,000 subscribers.[2]

On 28 August, her channel reached 50,000 subscribers before the start of her Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel endurance stream.[3]

2024[]

On 29 March, she debuted her third outfit, just like the second one inspire by Yu-Gi-Oh! character designs. She wears a black highschool uniform with blue reflects, and big glasses on her head like Yuya from Arc V.

On 7 April, she changed her Twitter username from NovaVreverie to NovaAokami.[4]

Going independent[]

On 11 November, Nova announced her departure from VReverie, effective immediately, and that she will continue on as Nova Aokami as an independent VTuber.[5]

2025[]

Joining Glitch Stars[]

On 12 February, it was announced that Nova would be joining Glitch Stars's new generation "Dreamers."

On 15 March, Nova debuted her fourth outfit, being more casual themed.[6]

On 29 September, she announced that she has reached 100,000 subscribers on YouTube.[7][8]

Return to Independent[]

On 20 October, it was announced Nova had left Glitch Stars in order to become an independent VTuber again. However, she will remain affiliated with the Dreamers subgroup and may pop up in future projects.[9]
