Nox (诺莺 Nuòyīng) is a female Chinese VTuber affiliated with VirtuaReal's independent VTuber partnership program, VirtuaReal Link.
Nox mainly streams on bilibili in Chinese, but she is also known for her fluency in English. Her content in the latter language includes some streams on YouTube and frequent performances of English songs.

There are those who say this young lady who lives in the city centre's castle is a sorceress proficient in divination, and there are also those who say she secretly runs a black market enterprise of formidable power. Nobody knows when she came to this city; some people even say that they have seen her silhouette in their ancestors' old photographs in their own homes, but nevertheless that kind of statement cannot be confirmed so far; more and more rumours revolve around her, practically on the verge of her becoming a living urban legend. But even the lucky ones who have met Nox face to face will only think that she is impossible to grasp. She who at first sight is quiet and graceful will at the next moment suddenly say the most evil things, then turn around and talk to you ceaselessly in a normal way like nothing happened. All kinds and sorts of rumours cause all people in the vicinity to keep their distance. And so the current Nox who felt bewildered by the rumours springing up from everywhere, will via livestreaming personally disclose her "little secrets" at hand one by one for us. As for what kind of person she is, that’s for each of the dear listeners to personally decide.[2]

Background[]
On 25 July 2020, Nox revealed a rough illustration of her design and changed her bilibili account name to "诺莺Nox" in preparation to becoming a VTuber.[3] She was previously known as Nonoさん per the channel watermark on some of her videos prior to this date (e.g., her "Say So" cover uploaded on 14 July 2020).
On 11 August 2020, Nox briefly introduced herself as a new VTuber and revealed a full body image of her Live2D model.[4]
On 26 August 2020, Nox announced that on 30 August 2020, she would officially start streaming as a VTuber.[5] No archive of this debut stream exists on Nox's channel except for a stream highlight of her singing "Think of Me" from The Phantom of the Opera.
2020[]
On 20 October, Nox reached 10,000 fans (aka followers) on her bilibili channel.[6] She later celebrated the occasion with a singing stream on 25 October.[7]
2021[]
On 15 March, Nox was announced as a member of the VirtuaReal Link partnership program alongside Susam and Noi.[8]
On 20 March,[TZ] Nox was the third of the new members to debut on stream as part of VirtuaReal Link.[9][10]
On 23 March, Nox's 诺莺Nox 【VirtuaReal】YouTube channel was created. She later uploaded her first video to this channel, an English cover of "KING" mirrored from the original on bilibili, on 29 March.
On 24 May, Nox's 诺莺Nox-VirtuaReal YouTube channel was created.
On 23 July, Nox announced that she would be moving from her 诺莺Nox 【VirtuaReal】YouTube channel to an official YouTube channel.[11] She later moved to her official 诺莺Nox-VirtuaReal YouTube channel and premiered her first video on this channel, an English cover of "Odo" mirrored from the original on bilibili, on 5 September.[12]
On 31 July, Nox streamed her first "offline solo vocal recital" at a karaoke box.[13]
On 23 August, Nox debuted her 3D model during day 1 of VirtuaReal's 夏日合唱ProMax (Summer Chorus ProMax) karaoke show.[14] Then on 27 August, Nox performed at the 3D Concert live.[15]
On 5 October, Nox reached 50,000 fans on her bilibili channel.[16] She later celebrated the occasion by singing musical theatre songs on 20 November.[17]
On 13 November, Nox had her YouTube debut stream for which she spoke in English.[18]
2022[]
On 3 May, Nox reached 6,000,000 total plays on her bilibili channel.[19]
On 9 May, Nox streamed an unarchived karaoke to celebrate her birthday four days earlier.[20] This was also her first unarchived karaoke on YouTube. A mirror on bilibili was later uploaded by a viewer.
On 18 June, Nox celebrated reaching 80,000 fans on her bilibili channel by singing Jay Chou songs.[21]
On 21 July, Nox reached 10,000 followers on her Twitter account and 10,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.[22] She celebrated shortly after with a karaoke on YouTube. During this karaoke, Nox also announced that she would be taking an indefinite hiatus from streaming on YouTube while still remaining active on her channel through uploads.[23]
On 3 August, Nox reached 100,000 fans on her bilibili channel during a 50-song endurance karaoke celebrating the occasion.[24]
2023[]
On 15 April, participated in the 3RD MUSIC MIX UP!! 3D live concert[25]
On 23 June, Nox participated in a Nijisanji international Valorant collab with Imi, Opal from VirtuaReal. Selen Tatsuki, Shu Yamino, Maria Marionette, Fulgur Ovid from Nijisanji EN, and Derem Kado, Min Suha, Bonnivier Pranaja from Nijisanji.[26]

- There is no concept of age where Nox is from, so she could be 0 years old, infinite years old, 500 years old, 1000 years old, 1 billion years old, negative years old, etc.[27] However, she is forever 19 years old in appearance, i.e., an adult.[28]

- Nox once gave Tocci a muscular, gold maneki-neko at a gift exchange.[31] She later offered another copy of this cat figure as one of three prizes in a raffle for her bilibili captains.[32]
- The first Liver Nox liked upon learning of NIJISANJI was Ange Katrina.[33]
