(DEBUT) Suddenly My Company is Run By a 2D Anime Girl, My CEO Can't Possibly Be This Cute?!?!

PAM's introduction.

Personality[]

PAM is quite sassy, strict, drunk with power and easy to threaten others with demotions and Pink Slips, sometimes even threatening to fire those who didn't even know they had a job at Playasia to begin with. Even those who do work at Playasia say they have difficulty keeping her on a proper leash, as she even started uploading videos before she was suppose to debut.

She is overall fun loving and passionate enough about Akihabara culture to follow her job, though leans more towards the western definition of "otaku". She regularly promotes things Playasia has in stock, but only on her own accord and interest. Said interest even extends to things unrelated to Playasia such as specific details about latest game news that piques her eye, the happenings around other VTubers or even memes she can't stop joking about, such as of May 16, 2021 she has "confirmed" herself to be a yandere.

PAM is also very interested in the rest of VTuber industry and its different aspects. She often tries to take time on stream for talking about other VTubers and watching clips. She is especially found of voice acting, and so invites frequently people on voice acting collab.

Quotes[]

Trivia[]

  • According to various PAM trivia stickers included inside Playasia shipments, PAM's name literally means Play Asia Mascot.
    • PAM's Familial name "Obake" is a archetype of youkai, and is a catch-all term in Japan to describe a ghost.
  • It is heavily implied that PAM is a Tsugumomo-gami type obake, born from the restless spirits of long forgotten products that are still lost decades later within Playasia's warehouse.
    • This likely explains her distaste for boxes.
  • Although PAM mostly speaks English, she is also capable of speaking French and Japanese, though admits she gets the two mixed up sometimes.
  • According to the PAM trivia stickers, she is as old as the company itself and shares her birthday with Playasia. Before becoming a VTuber, PAM has always had life as the company's official mascot and ages with the company since the beginning of their business.
  • For reference, Playasia is a physical Hong Kong Storefront that regularly deals in Akiba goods that include but are not limited to PVCs, Asian movies, anthology magazines, erotic statues and art, merchandise and (of course) games. They are most well respected by westerners for their accessible import services and having multiple regional versions of a game in stock, some of which include multi-language options not found in local releases, or having physical copies of digital-only localized releases available without scarcity from limited physical run companies.
  • According to PAM's team member, Nobuo Uwumatsu, she spent 3 years on Mount Fuji perfecting the skill of hiccup singing
  • Her debut song, Virtual Pleasure, is about the feeling of being alone together with people with similar interests during the pandemic, finding a place to belong, and PAM's own journey as a VTuber.
  • She was demoted as the CEO of Playasia, due to questionable workplace practices on March 31, 2021.
  • She is known for collaborating with VTubers regardless of size or whether they are indie or corporate. This is seen in her voice acting collab streams dubbing over games like Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, as well as her big concert streams.
  • She can play the flute and, more recently, owns a few tin whistles. She can be seen playing in flute karaoke streams, as well as some of her concerts and covers.
  • One her favorite singers in Yosei Teikoku. During the Rockin' Relay organized by Kou Mariya and Kanna Yanagi in 2024, she made an entire karaoke around her songs.[10]
