Usually an observer, it is now taking an active role for unknown reasons.
Appearance[]
Omega has an androgynous and futuristic appearance and is dominated by a color palette of white and holographic shimmering rainbow-color effect. They appear to float through the air, and their face tends to wear a neutral expression.
Omega has long silver hair with a holographic sheen that changes color as the light hits it. The hair floats and moves of its own volition, and four strands end in triangular buckles. They have deep red eyes with holographic color and narrow pupils, and have small fangs. They have a triangular halo above their head in holographic rainbow-like colors.[1]
They wear a white jumpsuit covered with a holographic cloak lined with holographic color. Omega's left arm is mechanical and colored white and gold, and the upper arm in particular appears to be hollow and covered in a fine metalwork of lotus flowers and flowing water, almost resembling a tattoo; the black "bone" is visible underneath. They wear a gold ring on the index finger of their mechanical arm. They possess a long katana with triangular motifs.[1]

Omega's Twitter account was created in May 2021.
Before any information about them was given, Omegaα was previously listed as the producer for the animation MV of IRyS's song Caesura of Despair, released on 11 July 2021. Unlike most hololive English members, whose accounts were created several months in advance, Omega's YouTube channel was created on 22 August 2021, only shortly before they were announced.
On 23 August 2021, Omegaα was revealed during the hololive English -Council- first collaboration event. A character design and a small amount of information was given, but little else. A teaser video, The Advent of Omegaα, appeared on the hololive English YouTube channel.[2]
Unlike hololive manager A-chan, to whom Omegaα was compared,[3] Omegaα never received a Live2D model or appeared on any streams.
2021[]
On 24 November, Omegaα's YouTube channel reached 100,000 subscribers.[4]
2022[]
The Omegaα Twitter account made its last post on 28 July, but continued to retweet major hololive English announcements until the holoMyth second anniversary merchandise announcement on 13 September.
2023[]
Retirement[]
On 18 July, fans noticed that The Advent of Omegaα had its visibility changed to unlisted, and the channel was no longer linked from the main hololive English channel. According to the Wayback Machine, the change occurred some time after 8 April 2023.
Omegaα's departure from hololive was confirmed in a 2024 off-collab between Takanashi Kiara and Shiori Novella, which suggested that they left prior to the Advent debuts in July 2023.[5]

- The final letter in Omegaα's name is a lowercase Greek letter "alpha," first letter of the Greek alphabet and equivalent to the letter "A" in English. Omega is the final letter of the Greek alphabet.
- The name Omegaα may be a reference to the Biblical passage of Revelation 22:13: "I am the Alpha and Omega, the First and Last, the Beginning and the End."
- Omegaα's first tweet was "α." This is reminiscent of hololive English member Gawr Gura's first tweet, "a."
- Omegaα shares the same character designer with Rohto Pharmaceutical Co. representative VTuber Nebasei Cocoro, Lize Helesta of NIJISANJI, Yu-yu-Yura of FIRST STAGE PRODUCTION, and Tsumugi Kokage of VSPO!.
- Staff member A-chan of hololive Production welcomed Omega in a tweet which suggests that Omega was a hololive staff member.[6] This was confirmed by a tweet celebrating holoMyth's one-year anniversary, describing themself as "the first staff of EN."[7]
- According to a design sheet released by artist Fuzi Choco, Omega's right arm is mechanical. The artist also expressed a wish that Omega's eyes should be of a color that is not normally possible for humans.[1]
- According to an annotation the second page of the design sheet, Omega is a genderless being, and has an androgynous physical form.[1] When asked which pronouns to use, Omega subsequently tweeted that they accept any, including he, she, it, or they.[8]
- In a July 2024 collab, Takanashi Kiara and Shiori Novella used a Ouija board to attempt to summon Omegaα. Aside from confirming Omegaα's retirement, it was also claimed that Omegaα was responsible for digging the infamous Minecraft hole that Kiara fell into.[5]
