PillowDear, or simply known as Pillow, is an independent English-speaking VTuber and ASMRtist. She debuted as a VTuber on YouTube on 20 July 2023.

PillowDear is an entity hailing from the dream realm, where her purpose lies in offering comfort and aiding in restful sleep. Once alone and isolated, she found solace upon entering the dreams of individuals. Through this, she had finally found the love and connection she had been longing for. Now, with each slumber, PillowDear will stay by your side, protecting you from nightmares while offering care and affection.
In January 2025, Pillow manifested herself as a nurse, to help people with their injuries by altering physical health with "dream science".[1]
Personality[]
PillowDear is a sweet, gentle soul with a charming personality and a soft voice. She is a fun, wonderful person to chat with, even though she can be a bit shy and anxious. Her streams focus on creating a safe and comfortable environment for her viewers, as she strives to ensure everyone feels valued and loved. Sometimes she acts like a yandere, who is very possessive, clingy, and jealous towards her chat.
Appearance[]
As a dream entity, Pillow can manifest herself in different forms and outfits, but the following features stay the same: her hair is salmon pink with white accents, and two small wings on top, her eyes are dark salmon pink with heart shaped pupils, and her left thigh has a heart-shaped birthmark.
The Nurse appearance consists of a pastel blue dress with a high collar and puffed short sleeves, a white apron with a heart and a medical cross at the center of the chest. The apron is tied with a pink waistband and has a pocket, which can contain various objects, such as ear pick, face brush, fidget toy, or comb. On the back, the waistband ties into a bow. The skirt is flared and layered with white ruffles along the hem. She wears white thigh-high stockings with vertical pastel pink stripes along the front and top, with a small pink band-aid on the right thigh. The shoes are light blue with pink accents. She wears white latex gloves. The casual outfit swaps dress for a T-Shirt, and cotton gloves instead of latex. The hair styled in a short bob with cut bangs framing the face. Two long braids extend down to the thighs, with pastel blue ribbons tying them up at the bangs level. On the head, there is a white nurse cap decorated with a heart emblem and a medical cross. She wears pastel blue medical cross-shaped earrings.
The Casual appearance originates from cupid, with long, salmon pink and white hair with twin braids tied at the end with black ribbons. She has a black hat on the left side that has red dashes on them. She wears red heart-shaped earrings. She wears a light brown knitted dress with a small white collar decorated with a red bow. Sometimes, she wears a red blanket decorated with two white hearts. There are arrows on her right thigh. She also wears black high socks with a love letter on her left leg.

Background[]
Pillow created her YouTube channel on 21 May 2020. She uploaded her first ASMR video on 12 June 2020. To this day, she continues to create ASMR videos.
2023[]
On 20 July, Pillow debuted as a VTuber with a 3D model.[2]
On 13 August, Pillow had opened memberships on her channel.[3]
On 19 September, Pillow reached 75,000 YouTube subscribers.
2024[]
On 11 January, Pillow reached 90,000 YouTube subscribers.
On 11 February, Pillow re-debuted with a new Live2D model.[4]
On 28 March, Pillow reached 100,000 YouTube subscribers.[5]
On 18 April, Pillow opened the official Minecraft server for her community.[6]
On 5 May, Pillow published her first IRL vlog from the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, United States.
On 20 July, Pillow celebrated her first anniversary of streaming on YouTube, and debuted a new 3D model, which now supports full-body tracking.[7]
On 10 August, Pillow debuted her second Live2D outfit.[8]
On 7 September, Pillow debuted a low-poly 3D model based on her second Live2D outfit.[9]
On 1 October, Pillow showed off her Live2D model touch up, with several new expressions and an updated hairstyle.[10]
On 17 October, Pillow donated $10,161 to the Children’s Defense Fund.[11] She did that after a successful crowdfunding campaign for a plush on Makeship, where she pledged to donate her full revenue to charity.[12]
On 30 October, Pillow closed her Patreon page.[13]
On 2 November, Pillow debuted her 3D chibi model.[14]
On 17 November, Pillow publisher her first 360° ASMR video.
On 5 December, Pillow reached 10,000 Twitter followers.[15]
2025[]
On 9 January, Pillow started streaming on Twitch in addition to YouTube.
On 14 January, her Twitch channel got affiliated.
On 16 January, her Twitch channel reached 1,000 followers.
On 18 January, Pillow debuted her third Live2D outfit and did partial rebranding as a nurse.[1]
On 12 March, Pillow was announced to be a part of the Rift Runners, a VTuber trading card game.[16]

- Her favorite game of all time is Bloodborne. She also likes Stardew Valley, Five Nights at Freddy's, Minecraft, Sky: Children of the Light, and Little Big Planet series.[2]
- Her favorite cartoons include My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, Adventure Time, Bluey, and Moomin.[2]

- Her ASMR videos and livestreams are mostly unscripted (except from theming and major story bits when applicable). During the livestreams, she uses her chat's input to drive the narrative.
- The art featured in Pillow's content is mostly drawn by herself, including her models and some props. Her early works featured random art from the Internet, but she eventually replaced thumbnails with her own or removed the videos completely.[24]
- She has an IRL roommate, Olive, who debuted on 19 October 2024 with a custom Live2D model (drawn by Pillow and rigged by herself).[25] Olive was the one who introduced Pillow to the world of Bloodborne.
- She wants to become an idol, but is very self-conscious about her singing abilities.
- She often calls water "wawa".
- One of her ASMR props, a rainbow slug fidget toy, is named "Megatron" by the chat.
- She and her roommate own two cats, Seaweed and Kenny. Despite that, Pillow is a dog person.

Aired on 12 October 2024, the parade featured 47 different VTubers in a 4-hour ASMR marathon. This was the largest Vtuber ASMR event of 2024.[29][30]
