PorcelainMaid (formerly FoxyJoel) is a monster girl (male) English-language VTuber who debuted on an unknown date sometime in mid 2017. He is independently produced and the founder of the Twitch Team Monster Girls.

Personality[]

Joel is a very high energy streamer and is known for maintaining this energy and positivity throughout his streams. He is charming, witty, and sometimes loud. He is easy going and fun to joke around with. He enjoys playing games, streaming art, and messing around with his audience.

Joel is highly interactive and likes to ask questions. He remembers and loves everyone in chat who supports him.

Appearance[]

Joel is a 6'1" pale porcelain female doll wearing a dark reddish-purple Gothic Lolita/Victorian maid outfit. He has long white hair, red eyes, and doll-like features including ball joints, a distinct mouth joint and a cracked face. Joel is self conscious about the cracks in his face, stating that "It's similar to a pimple on a teenager."

Joel began producing YouTube content as far back as 2010, at a young age. His current channel was created on 27 June 2011.

Joel began streaming on Twitch on 1 January 2016, after making a New Year's resolution to become a content creator. After streaming art on Twitch throughout 2017 and 2018, Joel posted his original art "Marionette Girl" on 22 December 2018.[1] He named this original character Damiya, from an old Arabic word meaning "marionette" or "doll".[2]

Joel was encouraged to become a VTuber by fellow art streamer Rosedoodle, and initially produced his own 3D avatar based on his "Marionette Girl" design.

2019[]

Joel first used his doll 3D model on 10 March 2019, making this his VTuber debut. This makes him one of the earliest VTubers on Twitch.[3][4] Joel continued to use the doll avatar in art streams, and began using such stream titles as "Doll Girl (fake) draws" and "Virtual Waifu draws... HERSELF??"

At some point between 27 July and 1 August, he began using a new 3D model by TSIOX. Joel unexpectedly received the model from TSIOX as a piece of surprise fanart. TSIOX would subsequently make updates to the model, and Joel would continue to use it going forward.[5]

On 25 October, he first used the term "VTuber" in a stream title.[6]

2020[]

Joel became a Twitch partner on 12 July.[7]

From September he became active as an Among Us VTuber collab player, and gained a reputation in the community as a strong Among Us player. In November and December, he co-hosted two episodes of Waifu Wars Wednesdays on Leaflit's channel.

2021[]

Joel continued to stream in 2021. In the first half of the year he primarily streamed art, but also played Pokémon Sword/Shield, Doom Eternal, and the Little Nightmares series.

On 16 October, Joel made an official VTuber redebut stream on Twitch, in which he revealed his new Live2D model illustrated by Dokuro_Deluxe and rigged by Brian Tsuii of Iron Vertex.

On 17 October, he posted a lore video on YouTube, illustrated by Kal, and edited in only three days by Illune Raina Illune. Additional art was provided by Isaak_Wolf, Asteros_VT, Kyaree_VT, Minkyal, DokuroDX, and Joel himself.

An edited summary of the debut stream was posted to YouTube on 14 December.

2022[]

On 1 January, Joel began the year with a six year streaming anniversary subathon. [8]

On 9 September, Joel revealed a new outfit,[9] complete with a short video. This outfit is a waterlogged nun's habit, complete with barnacles growing from it. In addition to this, tentacles could also sprout from various places, including the crack on his face.

On 29 November, Joel reached 100,000 Twitch followers.

2024[]

On 2 April, Joel reached 200,000 Twitch followers.

Relationships[]

Joel is friends with fellow VTubers Ewica, Rosedoodle, Shine, Minkyol, Artemis, FeFe, and many more. He is very affectionate and is known to bestow smooches often.

Joel has many "wives" in the streamer community, including CottonWings, DyaRikku, Nana, Anntandesu, TheCecile and Juniper Actias. He also has several "children", including YamaChiika, Ghosty60, Shironii_Pyon, Bao, and orca VTuber Shachimu. ("How does a porcelain maid have an Orca daughter?" Don't worry about it, but Joel is a lovely father!)

Ewica in particular is described as his stinky younger sister who freeloads in his house and uses his computer to stream.

Joel is friends with Eskimo_Girl66, one of his favorite artists.

  • PorcelainMaid is a human male whose soul now possesses the body of a porcelain doll.
    • After a late night stream, Joel awoke in an abandoned mansion to find himself trapped in the body of a porcelain doll. Lost and confused, he made his way back to his old house and moved his streaming setup to the mansion, where he decided to continue streaming until he figures out exactly what happened to him and his body. Joel takes care to avoid anyone he knew before his "death".
    • He was a normal streamer, playing games, doing art (albeit with very little creativity or motivation to the art) but he was going nowhere, no growth, no community. On a day that he ran out of drinks in the fridge he decided to leave his apartment to go to the convenience store at night. Though on his way back he just suddenly blacked out. He insists that there was no pain or sound or anything out of the ordinary. He just blacks out and the next thing he wakes up in an abandoned mansion in the woods in a dolls body. This actually turned out to be a blessing to him as it boosted his creativity with this new life and he went back to his old apartment and stole his own pc to stream at the mansion seemingly leaving his old life behind. (though he still wonders what happened to his old body he doesn't take the time to look himself up)[12]
  • Joel is self conscious about the cracks on his face and doesn't like when they're mentioned.
  • He creates characters based on his fears. Notably the doll design was created based on his notion of "Fucking Your Fears", as he takes fears he had as a child and makes characters that are so hot/attractive that he can no longer be afraid of them anymore. Only Horny.
