Rev says desu or Rev, is a male English speaking VTuber, anime reviewer, and news reporter.
Originally a creator of anime meme videos and news, he pivoted to covering VTuber news and drama before debuting as a VTuber himself in 2022. He provides commentary from a right-wing perspective.
Appearance
His VTuber model appears to be heavily inspired by Yazawa Nico with slight changes to keep it from violating any copyrights or trademarks. The model is a young female vampire with black hair in twin tails with two red bows like Nico but wears a black baggy long sleeve sweater, pointy ears, black thigh highs, and black boots and also wears large oversized round glasses. He has a black choker necklace with silver cross.
Despite looking like a child, his VTuber is actually a short vampire woman in her mid 20's. He also has wings that can be toggled on and off.
History
Background
Rev's YouTube channel was created 22 August 2016. His first public YouTube video was uploaded on 12 November 2018. On 26 November 2019 he posted his first VTuber-related content, a meme video featuring Shirakami Fubuki. He gained popularity following a controversial video on 7 September 2020, a critique of then-new VTuber Nyatasha Nyanners, which contrasted her less politically correct early content with the more socially conscious attitudes she would display later on.
Before becoming a VTuber, Rev used an icon of Yazawa Nico from the hit idol anime Love Live! School idol project.
2022
On 21 June, Rev made his official VTuber debut on Twitch.
