Selkie, formerly known as Ewica, is a female English-language VTuber. She is independently produced, and affiliated with the Twitch team Noobs.

Selkie has a very chill vibe throughout her streams, but is not afraid to throw down with a sassy chat or interviewer like Domo. She does not shy away from just nonchalantly being lewd or vulgar before returning to wholesomeness. Selkie sometimes uses baby talk, this being most prominent in her pronunciation of Rs as Ws.
Appearance[]
Selkie is a twin-tailed catgirl VTuber that usually sports very long hair that's white with dark brown highlights, including a curly ahoge and her eye brows are rounded and a dark brown. Her eyes are usually blue. The fur on her cat ears and twin-tail is mostly white but becomes black toward the ends. She has a plethora of hair accessories and bows, wears a revealing almost halter top, and sometimes also a large white/black/reddish-brown open faced jacket. She generally wears this with shorts or a pleated black skirt, neck ribbon tied in a bow with a cat bell, a ribbon tied with a bow as a belt, and ties it all together with black sneakers and knee-high socks. She wears a ribbon tied with a bow through her hair. Her right facial cheek is sometimes bandaged.

As Ewica, she started as a cat girl VTuber her activities as a full-time artist, but has since transitioned into streaming video games and just chatting streams as well.
2020[]
On 28 July, she became a Twitch partner.
On 16 October, she celebrated reaching 10,000 followers on Twitch.[1]
On 18 October, Ewica debuted a new 2D model becoming a fox girl.[2]
2021[]
On 9 January, she reached 20,000 followers on Twitch.[3]
On 3 June, as Ewica she re-debuted with a new 2D model, returning to being a cat girl.
On 18 December, she changed her name to Selkie and re-debuted with a new outfit.
2022[]
On 27 June, Selkie announced on her Twitter account that she would redebut with a new model.[4]
On 1 July, Selkie redebuted with a new 2D model redesigned by herself on her Twitch channel. In this costume Selkie has light blonde hair, but can also turn it white. In reference to her previous changes from cat to fox girl, Selkie can switch between the two different pair of ears and use her model with either one or two tails. Selkie a red bow decorated with a golden bell around her neck. She wears a dark brown mini dress with thin see through sleeves and is decorated with a white and red edge. On top of it she wears a white hoodie that complements her dress and can also put on the hoodie's hat which is cat shaped.[5][6]
Retirement[]
On 10 October, Selkie announced her graduation for all VTuber activities.[7]
On 16 October, Selkie graduated from her activities as a VTuber on Twitch. She announced that her Discord would remain open.[8]
2023[]
Un-retirement[]
On 3 October, Selkie unexpectedly returned to streaming. She announced her intent to stream on an irregular schedule as a hobby. She continued to stream on subsequent days until 31 October, before another (brief) hiatus.
2024[]
On 20 February, Selkie once again unexpectedly returned to regular streaming. She announced her intention to stream on a regular schedule as a hobby, with frequency to be determined. She has since continued to stream up-to five days per week.
On 20 April, Selkie began an uncapped subathon to celebrate four years of VTubing. To launch the subathon, Selkie debuted a new model, which she designed, created and rigged entirely herself. Although Selkie remains a blonde-haired foxgirl, she now sports only a single tail, and in keeping with her previous incarnation, can still change her hair color and ear-type.
