Personality[]
In general, Seraph is calm, level-headed, curious, and likes to do things at his own pace. He has been described as being gentle and easygoing, and has been referred to by both himself and others as an "iiyo bot" (いいよbot, "that's fine" bot) - someone who doesn't like saying no to people if they ask him for something.[7][8] He also has a more cheeky and mischievous side, often teasing, pranking, or lying to others in collabs or even his own viewers, with his enjoyment of their suffering at times comically bordering on sociopathy.
While he is well-read and book smart, his penchant for sekizui (脊髄, reflexive) or nōshi (脳死, brain dead) commentary often leads to bizarre or nonsensical statements that even he doesn't understand. Despite this, he is knowledgeable about many things ranging from internet memes to high culture, and is quite eloquent when the situation calls for it - such as when discussing topics like mental health, when giving meaningful advice and expressing gratitude to his viewers, or less seriously, when demolishing his friends in debates.[9][10]
He seems to have a "cool" and hypercompetent reputation among his senpais, with some of them affectionately referring to him as "Seraph Nandemodekirugarden" (セラフ・なんでもできるガーデン, Seraph Candoanythinggarden).[11][12][13] Conversely, with those he considers gen-mates (i.e., Ano 8-Nin), he naturally becomes much more endearing and childlike, in line with his role as VOLTACTION's youngest - a trait he himself is aware of.[14] Thus, although several of those gen-mates have noted that he is indeed multitalented,[15][16] some have also called him cute, adorable, and "like everyone's little brother".[17][18]
However, there are some darker aspects of his personality that appear to have been warped by his past as an assassin. For example, he occasionally says shockingly violent or disturbing things entirely nonchalantly, often with the implication that he's either experienced or done said things, and thinks that certain horror antagonists and grotesque phenomena are cute or beautiful rather than terrifying. In fact, not only is he strangely unaffected by violence, gore, and jumpscares, his comments sometimes lead viewers to remark that Seraph scares them more than the horror games he enjoys playing.
Appearance[]
Seraph has mid-length dark navy-black hair that has been dyed pink. This excludes a pair of distinctive red highlights evoking a horned owl's "horns", as well as the hair at the nape of his neck, which remains its natural color. His bangs partially obscure his left eye. His eyes are dark blue, red, and gold. His ears are both extensively pierced. In his default appearance, he wears a red overcoat with feather patterns on its lower half and sleeves, with a detached hood that has his horned owl logo on it. Beneath the coat, he wears a black thermal top with sleeves that double as fingerless gloves. Over this, he wears a navy blue haori. As he usually keeps his right arm out of the sleeve, half of it hangs at his side. He wears white pants with black stripes, tucked into white and navy blue boots. He hides weaponry in the belts and garter belts around his waist and thighs, which hold up a holster at his right thigh containing a knife. Other hidden weapons on his person include his violin necklace, which contains a retractable needle; a needle holster strapped to his left forearm; switchblades clipped to his haori; and blades in his rings. Seraph's second outfit, like those of the other members of VOLTACTION, is the Erfolg College school uniform. His is the standard uniform, consisting of a black tailcoat, grey dress shirt and tie, and black slacks. Seraph's variation on the uniform includes a red hoodie underneath the tailcoat, the tie being tied into a bow, a tartan scarf with a scarf pin in the shape of his horned owl logo, a red and blue bracelet, black leather gloves, and a keyring and garterbelts with attached knives. The outfit also came with a new hairstyle, which is slightly shorter than his default style and has his bangs brushed to the left. Options:

Seraph's third outfit is a wa modan-style (和モダン, Japanese modern) outfit featuring a translucent black haori with the same feather patterns as his default outfit over an oversized grey dress shirt and black inner turtleneck top, paired with red-accented black hakama pants and black oxford shoes with red soles. In lieu of his normal set of piercings, he wears a single red spike-shaped pendant earring from his left ear. His hair in this outfit is longer and styled in a low side ponytail, with his bangs pinned back with hairpins. Options:

Seraph's fourth outfit is a spring casual outfit. He wears a long wine red dress shirt, which has a black right half decorated with white lilies and six wings (likely in reference to his name). The shirt is paired with a black tie, black skinny jeans, and a pair of white sneakers with navy blue and red accents. He also wears a pair of wine red glasses and sports a different set of piercings and rings compared to his default outfit. The outfit came with a new hairstyle, featuring his hair being cropped to a roughly layered mushroom cut. Options: |
As a VTA student, Satoshi had short dark navy-black hair (notably the exact same shade and color that is stated to be his natural hair color as Seraph) and greyish-blue eyes. He wore the standard VTA first generation male uniform, consisting of a black varsity jacket with white stripes, a black cardigan, a white dress shirt, a black necktie with blue, lime green, and purple stripes, black slacks, and black loafers. |

Mascots and Fans[]

Seraph and Mimizuku-san
- Seraph's fans are officially called "Serazuku" (セラズク), which is a portmanteau of Seraph's name and "mimizuku" (ミミズク, horned owl).[105]
- His channel members are referred to as "Agents" (エージェント), with two tiers: "Assistant Agents" (アシスタントエージェント) and "Buddy Agents" (バディエージェント).
- His fanmarks are 🦉 (owl) and 🎻 (violin). His fanmark was originally only 🦉 (owl), but the violin was added shortly after his debut on 17 July 2022 to avoid overlapping fanmarks with another VTuber.[105]
- His mascot is named "Mimizuku-san" (ミミズクさん). As its name implies, Mimizuku-san is a horned owl, with plumage in the same shade of pink as Seraph's hair and "horns" that resemble his characteristic red highlights.
- Mimizuku-san was designed by Seraph's artist Bodax, originally appearing in an unofficial congratulatory fanart for him reaching 100,000 subscribers. It eventually made its first official appearance in his 3D debut, with its own 3D model.[106][107]
- It shares a naming pattern with Watarai Hibari's mascot character Hibari-san, who is also simply named after the name of its species in Japanese.
- A large Mimizuku-san plushie was released on 13 July 2023 as part of the lineup of VOLTACTION's first anniversary goods.

Wannyaction, with Akaiko at bottom right
- In addition, VOLTACTION has a group of official mascots called "Wannyaction" (わんにゃくしょん, Barkmeowtaction). Seraph's representative mascot in Wannyaction is a Maine Coon[108] cat named "Akaiko" (あかいこ, the red one).
Shy around strangers, but once it warms up to you, will beg you to brush it.
Usually curled up, but can apparently stretch to a terrifying degree.[109]

Character and Lore[]
- The members of VOLTACTION were originally a group of close friends - all coming from criminal or otherwise morally ambiguous backgrounds - who first met each other while attending the same boarding school, Erfolg College (エルフォルクカレッジ).[2][124]
- He and Shikinagi Akira enrolled in the school as partners to carry out a long-term undercover mission for their previous employers. While they were already acquainted at that point as they had worked together prior to this, they did not meet face-to-face until becoming classmates.[124][125]
- Due to being younger than them, he should have been a school year below the other VOLTACTION members. However, he falsified his age when enrolling. As a result of this, he ended up in the same class as the other three.[126]
- After honing their respective skills in the criminal underworld, Fura Kanato gathered them together due to a shared desire to use these skills to instead bring happiness to people. To do so, they meet at a hidden base called the Laundry (ランドリー), and carry out missions in secret. After learning about NIJISANJI, the members decided to start streaming in addition to their activities as VOLTACTION.[2][127]
- He has apparently been working as an assassin up until fairly recently,[128] until he escaped alongside Akira with the help of the other VOLTACTION members.[129] Whenever the topic of his previous job comes up, he usually insists that he doesn't kill people anymore.
- Though he was an accomplished assassin who had never failed to complete a contract by his own admission,[130] there have been many indications that his past and upbringing as one and his relationship with his in-lore family were far from pleasant:
- He has explicitly stated that he was not an assassin by choice. Rather, he had been forced into it from a young age as part of the family business.[128]
- He has described the period in which he actively worked as an assassin as being a time when he was quite mentally unwell, or a depressive period.[131]
- He gets evasive regarding his childhood and family, once answering "I'd rather... not talk about it..." to an chat AI prompt on the subject.[132] During a "100 questions" collab stream with Watarai Hibari, he answered that he "had no friends, as [he] was always alone, doing family business" and had "no childhood dreams to speak of" when asked about his childhood; he would also flat-out refuse if he was offered the opportunity to go back in time.[133]
- When discussing his and Akira's duet of "Gekkō" (月光) in the context of their lore, he stated that if he was the same person he was in the past, it was likely that he would have died without having ever loved anyone or been loved by anyone.[134]
- He once remarked that he believes he "has no good memories except for the ones [he has] made with his friends".[135]
- He has mentioned that he is "used" to being electrocuted and poisoned, the former since he was little;[136] both Hibari and Oliver Evans have noted that he does indeed appear to be immune to poison.[137][138] He has described the feeling of being electrocuted as a "feather-light touch", and the pain of being stabbed in non-vital areas as stinging a bit but ultimately a minor inconvenience.[34]
- Poison does actually affect him; his apparent immunity is due to him being able to ignore said effects.[139]
- When asked if he's ever had a nightmare that he won't ever forget, he mentioned one in which he was captured, tortured, and shot in the shoulder, before strongly implying that it was not, in fact, a dream.[140]
- Some methods by which Seraph has either alluded to or outright been shown to have assassinated people with:
- While the other three members specialize in gathering intelligence in preparation for their missions, Seraph is the one who carries out the majority of the actual physical work during the missions themselves.[143]
- His weapons of choice both as an assassin and currently as part of VOLTACTION were and are knives.[144] Despite not using them as often as he used to, he still keeps many knives hidden on his person as he feels uneasy without them.[145]
- Even after leaving his previous profession he still switches between many different false names and identities depending on the purpose (one of which is "Seraph Dazzlegarden" itself), and has both Japanese and foreign identities.[148]
- Like the other VOLTACTION members, he no longer ages, as ANYCOLOR used mysterious technology to keep him perpetually 20 years old upon his NIJISANJI debut.[149]
Room 4S[]
- Room 4S is a freelance agency founded by Akira, and is also a front for VOLTACTION's activities in conjunction with Kanato's CAFE Zeffiro. While Seraph does not exclusively freelance for Room 4S, due to his friendship with Akira he often takes on work for the agency. Though this technically means that Akira is often Seraph's superior as his contractor, Seraph refuses to acknowledge this.[150]
- 4S stands for Secure, Smart, Speedy, and Secret, representing the four things that the agency promises to provide to its clients.[151]
- The mission requests that the agency accepts are quite varied, including finding lost pets, private detective work, bodyguard work, stolen object or missing person retrieval, neutralizing assassins, among other things.[151][152]
- In order to protect clients' privacy, the primary way clients can contact the agency is by first ordering a small espresso with four sugar cubes at CAFE Zeffiro.[151][153] As orders and requests are relayed through Kanato and Hibari, it can be determined if the request warrants involving VOLTACTION as a whole; requests that are simpler or don't require as much intelligence gathering are handled by Room 4S alone.[143]
- As the agency's motto is to "undertake any request",[154] he is chronically overworked in-universe.[155] As such, he often uses "being busy with missions" as an excuse to explain streaming absences or delays.
- When shown in 3D, the Room 4S office appears to be a one-room space with a work desk and computers, a large sofa and coffee table, bookshelves, and a full kitchen.[156]

-Ares' reference sheet
- On 1 April 2023, after going to sleep with a headache earlier that night,[157] Seraph was replaced by an enigmatic figure named "-Ares". Rather than being an alter ego, it was implied that -Ares is Seraph's past self from when he was working as an assassin.
- From 00:00 to 11:55 JST, Seraph as -Ares left a series of cryptic messages in real time detailing his inner monologue set during and after a mission in which he took on a contract to assassinate thirteen targets by himself; towards the end, he seems to argue with an unknown entity. The scenario appears to have been framed as Seraph reliving past trauma in the form of a nightmare.

[11:55 JST][181] 黙れ。お前もさっきの奴らみたいにしてやろうか。 |
[11:55 JST] Be quiet. Or should I make it so that you end up like the people I just killed? |
- At 12:00 JST, he uploaded a surprise cover of Kitani Tatsuya's "BAD DREAM" (悪夢) featuring -Ares, some of the lyrics of which were referenced in the narrative's final back and forth. The video's description contains corrupted text (繧ゅ≧雖後□), which when restored translates to "mou iya da" (もう嫌だ, I don't want to do this anymore).
- After waking up and returning to his usual self at 12:11 JST,[182] he showed no sign of having any recollection of what had occurred - only vaguely mentioning that he felt like he had a strange dream.[183] This even extended to the cover he uploaded, with him not mentioning or announcing it on any platform. However, he made comments in later streams that appeared to be indirect references to parts of the monologue.[107][184]
- Amagase Muyu, who according to her own lore has the ability to eat bad dreams, Tweeted "gochisōsamadeshita." (御馳走様でした。Thank you for the meal.) shortly before the premiere of his cover at 11:59 JST.[185] It can be inferred that she ate his nightmare, which may explain why he appears to have no memory of it.
A Concerto for Two Violins[]
(This is a nostalgic song that makes me remember a time when I would cry while playing the violin.)[186]
- A follow-up came exactly one year later, when Seraph remarked that he had found an old recording on his phone.[187] He then uploaded a self-duet of the first movement of Johann Sebastian Bach's "Concerto for Two Violins", framed as being a combination of the recording, ostensibly of his past self playing the first violin part, and his present-day self playing the second violin part.[188] The performance's video features -Ares, this time explicitly credited in the description as "Seraph (from a few years ago)".
Promise Me[]
- On 13 July 2024, his second debut anniversary, he uploaded a cover of Kitani Tatsuya's "Promise Me" (私が明日死ぬなら). The video contains several aspects of imagery that suggest it is an answer song or follow-up to "BAD DREAM" (悪夢).
- At around 1:45, a picture of a smiling Seraph with three other people whose faces are painted over in black is shown. A diary page can also be seen with the following text:
✕月✕日 友達ができた。 |
✕ Month, ✕ Day I made a friend. |
アイツはやけに俺を気にかける。 そのせいで頭の中は前よりうるさくなって、だけどそれも悪くないかって思っている自分もいる。 |
They care about me so much. It's made the inside of my head much more noisy than before, but part of me thinks that's not so bad. |
- There is also an ending sequence that is original to the cover. The text shown during the sequence is as follows:
あなたが悪夢に苛まれているとき、 僕はあなたにどんな言葉を贈ろう |
When you were tormented by a bad dream, I wonder what kind of words I could give you. |
あなたに出会って僕は変わったから、 あなたには様変わりした |
Because I've changed since I met you, I want you to see my world |
Name[]
- "Seraph Dazzlegarden" is not his "real" name but rather just one of his many false names and identities; his "real" name is currently unknown.[189]
- Seraph's name is entirely written in katakana and is presented in Western order with given name first and surname last, both usually reserved for foreign names. He is the only member of VOLTACTION whose name is written this way.
- His given name, Seraph, refers to six-winged angels found in religious texts, usually and traditionally associated with music.
- He occasionally calls himself a shitenshi (熾天使, seraph) in reference to this, for example in the title of his debut stream.
- In-universe, it may have been derived from his previous codename spelled backwards. "Ares" backwards is "Sera", while the preceding "-" that it is stylized with can be interpreted as being a minus or negative sign - with "minus" or "negative" in Japanese being 負 (fu). Thus, "-Ares" backwards can be read as "Serafu", which is the Japanese pronunciation of "Seraph".
- His surname, Dazzlegarden, is an indirect English calque of his previous surname Misono (美園). "Dazzle" comes from 美 (mi), meaning beauty, a close synonym for the word "dazzle" or "dazzling", while "garden" comes from 園 (sono), meaning garden.
- His previous given name, 聡 (satoshi), means intelligent, smart.

Violin[]
- Seraph is a classically trained violinist who has been playing since he was 5 years old,[105] and prior to becoming a NIJISANJI Liver was actively performing and touring as part of string ensembles and orchestras.[193]
- A comprehensive list of his violin-centric streams and the songs he has played on stream (with English titles and timestamps) can be found here.
- He was inspired to play the violin after watching a concert by violinists Hakase Taro and Furusawa Iwao.[207] Others have told him that he was also influenced by the protagonist of Kamen Rider Kiva, which he can't remember given his age at the time.[208]
- He was trained under the Suzuki method classical music curriculum, with the first songs he learned how to play being "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" and "Long, Long Ago".[209]
- He first started playing for audiences before he was ten, with the number of concerts and competitions he performed in gradually increasing in frequency throughout his adolescence. His schedule became particularly busy after he turned 18.[193]
- He has played concerts internationally, for example in Europe. Unfortunately, his last concert tour there was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic while he was in Germany, just before he was scheduled to travel to Austria to play in Vienna.[210]
- He has played alongside Vasko Vasilev, concertmaster of London's Royal Ballet and Opera and concertmaster for the coronation of King Charles III.[211]
- He has won at least one major violin competition.[193][199]
- He would usually play violins borrowed from his instructors and ones worth 4-5 million yen on loan for competitions, as at his level of competition participants could lose solely based on the quality of instrument.[207]
- One of his most memorable experiences as a violinist was when, after winning a competition and performing as a soloist in the winner's concert, he realized that mentors he looked up to were playing as part of his backing orchestra.[193]
- He ultimately disliked having his performances being graded and reduced to numbers (presumably in auditions and competitions) enough to decide to keep playing as a hobby rather than continue as a professional violinist.[148]
- Nevertheless, because of his pedigree and skill he still gets mistaken for one when he plays; when he visited a violin workshop in Nagano Prefecture and tried out some of the instruments, the head luthier asked Seraph if he was a professional, gave him his business card, and asked for his signature.[148]
- He has described his playing posture as being "peculiar" due to his height.[198]
- He was part of the string instruments club in school. As he had the most experience, he often ended up being more of a teacher to the others. Despite this, he gave up the first chair violin position to another member; he felt that he shouldn't be first chair as he couldn't attend every meeting because of his other obligations.[198]
- He owns two violins: an electric violin and an Italian-made maplewood acoustic violin. His acoustic violin was purchased from a luthier who had previously been his patron during one of his concert tours in Germany.[105][207]
- While happy with his current acoustic violin, he actually tends to favor instruments made in Germany in terms of sound and build quality; one of his previous personal violins was of German manufacture. His dream violin was a German-made one worth 5 million yen, which he had to give up on buying.[207]
- The rosin he uses is Millant-Deroux Dark, which he colloquially calls "kuroneko" (クロネコ, black cat) - its nickname among Japanese violinists due to its color and logo.[207]
- He uses Pirastro Evah Pirazzi Gold violin strings and restrings his violin himself, a process he has dedicated a stream to.[212]
- He has a pink plush flapjack octopus keychain on his violin case.[213]
- He states that while he has a sense of pitch, he does not have either absolute or relative pitch.[214] In apparent contradiction to this, however, he can tune his violin without reference notes and play songs by ear, usually in order to play J-pop songs.[105]
- The covers of "Virtual to Live" he performed for a NIJISANJI official program were played by ear. He mentioned to ANYCOLOR staff that he could have also played "Nijiiro no Puddle" (虹色のPuddle), "Hurrah!!", VOLTACTION's "INLAID" (インレイド) and "Watercolor", or Ranunculus' "DONBURA KONBURA SPEAKERS" by ear if they wanted him to, much to their shock.[207]
- He brought a violin to an audition for NIJISANJI, but never actually got to play it since he ran out of time.[194]
- The excerpt of Jules Massenet's "Méditation" from Thaïs that Hyakumantenbara Salome mimed playing on the violin during her 3D debut was actually performed and recorded by Seraph at her request earlier that same day.[215]
- He has never used a violin to assassinate anyone before, reasoning that they're hollow and would shatter if he tried to kill someone with one.[105] However, he finds violin cases to be particularly useful for hiding things.
Definitely not weapons.[216]

- Prior to their debut, VOLTACTION once rented a cottage together. This cottage trip gave rise to what is now known as the Yōsei-san Jiken (妖精さん事件, Mr. Fairy Incident), which both the group and their viewers have since referred to as one of their most memorable moments and is oft referenced as a running gag.[217][218]
- At the cottage, their sleeping arrangements were Kanato and Hibari sharing one bedroom and Akira and Seraph sharing another bedroom, with a clear view into each others' rooms.[219]
- Akira walked around stark naked in his and Seraph's bedroom on his way to the shower room, apparently drawn there by Seraph playing the violin. Because the bedroom doors were wide open, he was in full view of all three of the others, causing an uproar. The name of the incident derives from Kanato's shocked exclamation of "yōsei-san da!" (妖精さんだ!, It's a fairy!) upon noticing Akira's state of dress. Rather than being embarrassed, however, out of spite Akira walked out naked in front of them once again after finishing his shower.[219][220]
- In addition to violin, he can play the viola and piano.[115]
- He owns an acoustic viola, and is proficient enough to have also played the viola as part of an orchestra, usually as a last minute substitute when a violist was absent. He originally started playing it in order to improve his skill at the violin (finger reach, etc.).[221][222]
- He learned to play the piano alongside the violin as a means of pitch training.[223]
- He is currently learning to play the electric guitar, and owns a Gibson Les Paul.[224]
- The martial art he has practiced the longest is jissen karate (実戦空手, karate for actual combat); other martial arts he has practiced include boxing and kickboxing.[193]
Perhaps because of his former job, he has also had military-style CQC training.[110][225] - He played basketball for around 6-7 years, and was a starting player on his high school team. He could play any position - usually small forward, power forward, or center - and specialized in three point shooting.[29][105]
- Other hobbies he has been involved in include painting, calligraphy, swimming, rugby, kendo, and athletics - specifically sprinting, long-distance, and high jump.[110][115]
- He was an excellent student in school, with his best subjects being math, science, physics, and English,[105][117] while his favorite subject was art.[133] Although he is very good at math and science, they were actually his least favorite subjects.[133]
- He only barely managed to pass his high school entrance exams on account of having to effectively skip a grade due to faking his age, but by the time he graduated he was one of the school's top students.[226]
- He scored the highest overall out of the VOLTACTION members on the comprehensive exam they did for their half-anniversary stream despite not studying; true to form, this included a perfect 100/100 in math, a near-perfect 98/100 in science, and the highest in the group in English.[227]
- He likes to cook and is proficient at it in general, but especially so when it comes to making sweets and desserts. This has even lead to the official VOLTACTION Twitter account referring to him as a patissier.[228]
- He can make wagashi from scratch, such as ohagi, as well as daifuku and its components, gyūhi and anko.[229]
- He prefers to make his own Valentine's Day chocolates rather than buy them, even giving some to Hibari prior to their debut.[230] For Valentine's Day in 2023, he held a baking stream in which he made orangettes and gâteau opéra-inspired chocolates decorated with gold leaf. He ended up giving them to the other members of VOLTACTION, who remarked that they were quite delicious.[231]
- He has gone undercover as a convenience store employee and a restaurant employee.[145]
- He has been given a separate batsu game in an off-collab because none of the usual punishments (electric shocks, spicy or bitter food and drink, tickling, spanking, being forced to say fanservice-y or embarrassing lines, etc.) bother him.[136][232] His lack of reaction to any proposed batsu game has even left NIJISANJI staff at a loss when designing variety programming involving him.[233]
- He has played through a basketball game with a fractured right wrist, did 1500-metre runs with a sprained ankle, and played the entirety of Johannes Brahm's "Symphony No. 1" (normally a 45-50 minute long piece) on violin with a dislocated finger.[34][193]
- He has athletic heart syndrome, or athletic bradycardia.[34]
- His ideal type is "someone he can talk to", regardless of gender.[218]
- Despite being very strongly identified with horned owls, he states that if he were an animal, he would probably be a lizard.[217]
- If he could pick one superpower to have, it would be the ability to flash step like Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni does in BLEACH.[217]
- If he were to reincarnate as something, it would be as a golem from the Dragon Quest franchise.[133]
- He has taken the Hogwarts House sorting test twice; he was sorted into Slytherin the first time he took it and Ravenclaw the second time. However, if he were to choose, he would prefer to be sorted into Ravenclaw.[234]
- If he were to travel overseas, the country he would want to visit the most is Chile. Specifically, he would like to tour the Atacama Large Millimeter Array and take in the view of the night sky from where it is located.[193] Another country he would like to visit is the United Kingdom, as he has roots there that he would like to reconnect with.[235] The place where he would most want to play a violin concert is Vienna, as he lost the opportunity to play there due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[218]
- While he did not have much time for tourism while on concert tour in Europe on account of spending eight hours a day practicing, places he did visit and recommends to people visiting Germany include the Brandenburg Gate, the Berlin Wall, the Berlin Musical Instrument Museum, the Berlin Victory Column, and Köllnischer Park in Berlin, the Upside-Down House in Trassenheide, Rügen, and Stralsund.[204]
- His inspiration for becoming a YouTuber was Akagami no Tomo, with Akira being the one who convinced him to specifically become a Virtual YouTuber. The first NIJISANJI Livers he watched were Sasaki Saku and Shiina Yuika.[236]
- Seraph's first impressions of the VTA first generation members → his current impressions of them:[125]
- Muyu: "Someone with some kind of vibe has shown up." → "Seems like she works at night." Likely in reference to her lore as a dream-eater.
- Ponto Nei: "She certainly did show up late. For someone who came so late she fit right in." → "That blueberry person."
- Umise Yotsuha: "Bright and cheerful. Talked about horses." → "Seems like she can actually wake up in the morning."
- Kanato: "Kanato and Hibari's smiles were the light I saw." → "Unhinged funny man."
- Hibari: "Kanato and Hibari's smiles were the light I saw." → "Energetic explosion."
- Akira: "When he talks, he sounds suspicious." → "Troublesome, funny megane".
- Kaburaki Roco: "Someone really talkative is here." → "She sure does cackle a lot."
- He is noted to take good care of his physical appearance in real life, and uses a wide variety of skin and hair care products on a regular basis, including:
- Skin care: Cow Brand Red Box Beauty Soap, Curél Hydrating Water Essence, Curél Anti-Wrinkle Hydrating Beauty Serum, ONE STONE TWO BIRDS Black Premium Face Wash and Face Mask, Carte HD Balance Care Emulsion, Carte HD Balance Care Toner Lotion, Carte HD Balance Care Gel, Tout Vert Balancing GA Lotion, THE RETINOTIME Wrinkle Lip Essence[237][238]
