Guten Rena!🕊🏰 I'm Rena Shiratori, a fantasy virtual voice actress who sings! I accept voice acting work with my regular VTuber streaming activities serving as my source of encouragement. I do a lot of chatting streams, and I also sing and do game playthroughs, with some occasional projects... I often stream around 6pm~9pm JST, but I also sometimes stream in the morning or at noontime.

  • "I want to be a source of strength for someone suffering and in trouble."
  • "I want to be a pillar of support that your heart can lean on."

With these words in mind, I obtained a mental health counseling license and became a qualified counselor.[2]

Personality[]

Having been raised in a noble family, Rena is an introverted person who has difficulty with expressing emotions in front of someone. She chose to become a virtual voice actress because she is fond of anime and video games, despite being forbidden by her parents.

Appearance[]

Rena has sky-blue hair and eyes with bright blue irises.

On her original design, she had bluish-silver hair and eyes with indigo-blue irises. She wore a frilly white dress decorated with midnight blue ribbons, with a bigger ribbon that has a light-blue gem adorning her upper chest. On her feet are a pair of frilly white socks beneath black shoes.

For her redesign, her now sky-blue long hair is tied in a low ponytail with blue feather ornaments. She has a silvery-white circlet with little butterflies adorning her hair. On her body, she wears a longer white and midnight blue dress with blue and gold designs on the hems. The ribbon on her upper chest is now light green with a white stone in the center, around it are small blue flowers and there's a small window on the chest, plus an opening that shows off her navel. The skirt area has a high slit showing off the asymmetrical design on her legs: white netting on her right thigh and a sheer black stocking for her entire left leg, with the same white netting on the calf. On her feet are white and black shoes that match each leg's adornment colors.

She also has a gold and white halberd she can summon, matching her more fantasy-oriented redesign.

2021[]

On 24 February, Rena held her debut on YouTube.[3]

On 26 March, she celebrated her first birthday with a singing stream.[4]

On 10 April, she celebrated her channel's monetization.[5]

On 24 December, she released her first official cover song "Departures～あなたにおくるアイの歌～" by EGOIST. This marks the first full cover by a talent of VOICE-ORE

2022[]

On 24 February, Rena celebrated her first anniversary with a stream that lasted for over 6 hours, including a karaoke portion that lasted over 2 hours.[6]

On 26 March, Rena celebrated her second birthday stream.[7]

2023[]

On 23 - 24 February, Rena celebrated her second anniversary with a series of marathon singing streams, spread out over 3 streams totaling over 13 hours of singing content.[8][9][10]

On 26 March, she celebrated her third birthday stream.[11] She did her first "oiwai totsumachi" (waiting for congratulations from call-in guests) during the stream.

In August, she went on hiatus, due to an emergency that led to her getting admitted to a hospital for 1½ months.[12]

In November, she resumed her streaming activities.[12]

On 23 December, VOICE-ORE announced that Rena would be graduating by the end of 2023.[13]

On 24 December, she held her first outfit reveal stream, unveiling her second costume.[14]

On 29 December, she clarified in a talk stream that her graduation is not retirement, she's parting ways with VOICE-ORE and becoming an independent VTuber after.[15]

2024[]

On 27 March, Rena announced that she would be taking part in a virtual counseling program as a counselor.[17]

2025[]

On 22 February, Rena premiered her cover of "Lovers" by sumika.

On 29 March, she debuted her new model in an endurance re-debut stream.[18] It's a complete redesign with a new illustrator: Canarinu with the Live2D modelling done by Suge. The stream included a surprise short anime segment showing herself in her original design before the reveal.[19]

On 17 April, she announced on Twitter[20] and YouTube [21] that she got married. She reveals in the tweet that her husband is not from the VTuber or streamer industry, but an ordinary person who is aware of her streaming activities. He stopped her from taking her own life in August 2023, and he has been supporting her since then.

On 19 April, her channel reached 40,000 subscribers in a guerrilla talk stream.[22] The milestone was reached within 5 minutes into the stream. As celebration for reaching the 40k milestone, she did a "husband collab" on stream with encouragement from her viewers, upon which she then called her husband over as her guest in a Q&A segment where he answered various questions from her viewers on stream.

On 2 May, Rena had a "Shiratori Family" collab talk stream featuring her real-life parents as guests where they answered various questions about Rena sent by viewers to her Marshmallow Q&A page.[23]

    • "Code: NilAsu" (CODE-NVRA87390XS（コード：ニルアス）), from the sci-fi adventure mobile visual novel "Nil Apocalypse" (ニル・アポカリプス), which will also be released as "Tale of android after the Apocalypse" on Steam for the Windows PC.[28]

  • She has a radio talk show series called "Shiro Karasu Radio" (白カラスラジオ, White Crow Radio) featuring a different VTuber guest per episode, she has invited various guests including her illustrator Nabi[30] and English-language VTubers like Nene Amano from Production kawaii.[31]
  • She knows some English, as demonstrated by her ability to quickly read and understand English comments in chat, as well as some German, having passed a Level 4 (basic) German Language proficiency test in Japan.

  • She suffered from episodes of depression, which led to her deciding to become a mental health counselor after she got better with help and counseling.[21]
  • She also revealed in her candid marriage talk that when she debuted in 2021, she had been living with her old classmate and now ex-boyfriend of 6 years, who she later broke up with in March of 2022 after he refused to consider the idea of marriage. She wanted to someday get married and eventually have children, dreams that they did not share together. She then moved out of Tokyo to where she eventually met her now husband. Their marriage was registered officially in November of 2023.[21]
    • The title of her marriage announcement talk stream "Betsu no Hito no Tsuma ni Natta yo" (別の人の妻になったよ, lit. I became someone else's wife) is a parody of the song titled "Betsu no Hito no Kanojo ni Natta yo" (別の人の彼女になったよ, lit. I became someone else's girlfriend / Official title: No Regret) by wacci, and she clarified that it was not her intention to make a dig at her ex or anybody else.
  • Rena and her viewers refer to her husband with the nickname "Tomu-shishou" (トム師匠, Master Tom). Contrary to her expectations, he was unexpectedly popular with her viewers and she also got positive instead of negative comments following the marriage announcement.[22]
  • She has a younger brother.[23]
  • Her real given name was almost accidentally revealed on stream by her mother during their collab. Immediately following this, Rena herself revealed it and acknowledged that Manami is in fact her real name, but nevertheless her viewers respectfully continue to call her Rena.[23]
