She has long white hair that has a braid and hair buns with white round bear ears and light blue eyes. She has a mostly white dress with a light blue coat over her arms with a large teal bow and snowflake charm around the collar.

Background[]

Her Twitter account was created in April 2021, and she posted her first tweet on the 14th of that month.[4] Her introduction video was released on 19 April 2021,[3] and she debuted on YouTube the next day on 20 April 2021.[5]

2021[]

  • On 5 May, her YouTube channel was open for monetization.[6]
  • On 6 May, she reached 10,000 YouTube subscribers.[7]
  • On 13 May, she opened the membership feature for her YouTube channel.[8]
  • On 12 October, she reached 20,000 YouTube subscribers.[9]

2022[]

  • On 16 April, she debuted her second 2D costume, featuring an angelic dress and a new hairstyle.[10]

2023[]

  • On 14 March, all her 2D costumes received an update with new expressions.[11]
  • On 15 July, she started a crowdfunding project for support her 3D model creation on CAMPFIRE.[12] The project successfully reached over 100% funding on 18 July.[13]
  • On 1 September, she reached 30,000 YouTube subscribers.[14]
  • On 1 October, she debut her third 2D costume, featuring a sleepwear and new hairstyles.[15]

2024[]

  • On 16 January, she reached 35,000 YouTube subscribers.[16]
  • On 20 January, she announced the date of her 3D debut on stream.[17] She debuted her 3D model from the CAMPFIRE crowdfunded project on 24 February.[18]
  • On 21 April, Aoi and all Propro members held a graduation ceremony stream (not to be confused with her own final graduation stream) hosted by Hinotori Mera.[19]

Retirement[]

  • On 1 April, Propro announced her upcoming retirement in June.[20] She explained that the main reason for her to graduate was because of her disagreement with the direction of Propro's management team.[21] Her YouTube channel videos was privated away from public access a week after, with the exception of just a few cover songs.

  • On 26 February, she made an apperance in 「Kizuna AI The Last Live "hello, world 2022"」.[22]
  • On 2 April, she performed in the second part of the 「VirtuaREAL.04 DJ&Live Release Party」.[23][24]
  • On 15 June, Aoi and Sakuya Azusa participated with other VTubers in the 「Vtuber's Asobiba Audition Challenge」 and won first place on 18 July 2022. She received an original song from 164 written for her as the grand prize.[25] Other rewards included the opportunity to make guest appearances in Niconico's official live broadcast and radio programs, as well as being featured in the two magazines Newtype and Vtuber Style.[26] The song See You Again. was released on 14 February 2023 as a Valentine's Day gift to her fans.[27]
  • On 26 August, Aoi and Sakuya Azusa made guest appearances in a broadcast hosted by Custom Cast, a simple 3D character creation app that anyone can use on their smartphone.[28]
  • On 22 September, Aoi and Sakuya Azusa made appearances in the Niconico show 「ぶいいく」 vol.15.[29]
  • On 17 December, Aoi, Sakuya Azusa, and the vtubers who participated in the 「Vtuber's Asobiba Audition Challenge」 made their guest appearances in the Xmas and New Year's Party hosted by Niconico.[30]

2023[]

  • On 30 April, she made an appearance in 「VTuber Fes Japan×おしゃべりフェス in 超会議2023」.[31]
  • On 24 June, Aoi and Sakuya Azusa performed alongside other VTubers at S!LK BLAST, an IRL DJ event that collaborates with VTubers.[32]
  • Between August 1 and August 29, Kujikibido hosted a lottery event for unique merchandise of Merletto, including a snow queen version of Aoi.[33]

2024[]

  • On 28 April, she made an appearance at the 「Osaka Vtuber Circuit FES」 and also served as the general receptionist for that event.[34]

Trivia[]

  • Her fanbase is called "Aogurumi" 「あおぐるみ」.
  • Her color theme is Cream Soda.
  • Her bear's name is called Aokuma, which translates to blue bear.
  • Her favourite food are omurice, hamburger, ice cream, crêpe, and fruit parfait.
  • She is usually teased by her fanbase as a hamster or a tanuki instead of a polar bear.
  • The first Vocaloid song she ever heard was Senbonzakura that her friend sang at a karaoke. She later went home and looked up Hatsune Miku. While she didn't quite like the Vocaloid singers, she became interested in many utaites.[35]
  • She can be represented as 4690, which sounds similar to shirokuma (white bear).
  • She has a very close relationship with Sakuya Azusa who regards Aoi as like her sister. They collaborated to sing a cover of the song Twins.
