Shura Hiwa, or simply Shura, is an independent trilingual Mexican VTuber (Spanish, English, and French) who debuted in June 2023. She is affiliated with VJiN, alongside Eiwy Fley and Condesa.
She currently streams live on Twitch and occasionally on YouTube almost every day, where she hosts free talk sessions, plays video games, does handcam streams of various activities, sings karaoke, and holds special events. She also collaborates with other VTubers as part of the group VJiN. Her name means “Defender of Hope,” derived from the words ‘Shura’ (Defender in Russian) and “Hiwa” (Hope in Sorani Kurdish).

Addicted to smoked salmon, naps, and fun, Shura Hiwa is the YOUNG leader of the Shake Gang, the most fearsome rising biker gang in the neighborhood (and maybe the only one…).
Personality[]
Shura is a very maternal and sweet girl who uses VTubing to recruit members to her gang with the goal of welcoming hearts looking for a home, although quite often she’ll do everything to make them beat at full speed.
Appearance[]
Shura has long, slightly wavy hair in shades of pink and predominantly blue. She wears a blue jacket and carries a bat with the word "Oyazumi" in Japanese. Her eyes are pink, and she has five visible moles: two on her face, one on her chest, one on her abdomen, and one on her thigh. Additionally, she wears a black skirt with side slits and long boots with a calico pattern on one of them.[2]

On 18 May 2023, Shura introduced herself with a tweet, writing: "Harō, harō! I’m Shura Hiwa, coming at full speed and I’ll rev up your heart! 🏍️💥".[3] In this same tweet, she showed a silhouette of her model and the Oshimarks for her followers.
2023[]
On 23 May, she held her first stream with the silhouette in the background on her YouTube channel. She continued doing a couple more streams in this style until her debut.[4]
On 1 June, she released her first cover, "ANIMAL", originally performed by DECO27.[5]
On 11 June, she made her debut on YouTube, using her PNG model. Six days later, she monetized her channel.[6]
On 13 July, she did her first stream on her Twitch channel.
On 3 August, she held her first extended stream, which lasted 4 days.[7]
On 8 October, she reached 10,000 followers on her X account.
On 31 October, she released the Spanish cover "「HAPPY HALLOWEEN」", originally performed by Junky ft. Rin Kagamine, featuring the VTuber Eiwy Fley.[8]
On 19 November, she debuted a 2D model, presenting a lore video as well as various details about her character and introducing the design of Shura’s followers, called "Pantcakes".[9]
On 8 December, she reached 10,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.
On 30 December, she was recognized as the VTuber with the Best Debut/Re-Debut of the year at the RadioFuna Awards 2023.[10]
On 31 December, she released the cover "「強風オールバック」(Kyoufuu All Back) - Band Arrange ver. -", originally performed by Yukopi.[11] That same day, the cover "White Wishes【CHORUS】", originally performed by 9nine and featuring her along with other VTubers from the Spanish and Japanese community, was released on Eiwy Fley’s channel.[12]

On 25 January, she reached 10,000 followers on her Twitch channel.
On January 27, she launched her official merchandise for sale on the UwU Market portal.[13]
On February 3, she took part in the "Pokémon Funa Cup" a Pokémon Emerald tournament featuring several Spanish-speaking VTubers, where she managed to finish in 2nd place. [14]
On 15 February, she released the Spanish cover "「Romeo and Cinderella」-ᴘᴏᴘᴘɪɴ'ᴘᴀʀᴛʏ ʀᴇᴍɪx-", originally performed by doriko.[15]
On 16 February, she released on Eiwy Fley’s channel the Spanish cover "TOMBOY," sung as a group by Eiwy Fley, Mai Noboshi, and CondesaVR, originally performed by (G)I-DLE.[16]
On 14 March, she held her second extended stream, which lasted more than a month, ending on April 20.[17]
On 22 March, she announced the creation of the group VJiN, a joint project with VTubers Mai Noboshi, Eiwy Fley, and CondesaVR to create content together.[18]
On 31 March, together with VJiN, she released the Spanish cover "PARANOIA," originally performed by HEARTSTEEL, achieving 10,000 views in less than one week.[19]
On 18 May, she held her first special event called "100 Pantcakes Dijeron," featuring several VTubers from the Spanish community.[20]
On 26 May, she participated in the 3D concert "Nyana Banyana's Special 3D Concert," organized by VTuber Nyana Banyana and featuring 10 VTubers from the English and Spanish communities. She performed her cover of the song "「Romeo and Cinderella」-ᴘᴏᴘᴘɪɴ'ᴘᴀʀᴛʏ ʀᴇᴍɪx-".[21]
On 20 June, she participated in the event "PixelLink Minecraft VSMP," a Minecraft server dedicated exclusively to VTubers from the English community of various agencies and independents, supported by the PixelLink agency, where multiple events and activities took place.[22]
On 26 June, she released the cover "ENVY BABY," originally performed by Kanaria.[23]
On 29 June, she held her second special event "100 Pantcakes Dijeron 2a. Edición", featuring VJiN and the Vtubers Crayon, Keri Ikehana and Sachigami.[24]
On 20 July, she participated in the "MagicPrix," a competition event among several VTubers in the game Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, winning in the Teams category along with the VTuber Melty Hitoru.[25]
On 27 July, she debuted her 3D model. In this debut, she sang the covers "Chiki Chiki Ban Ban" by QUEENDOM, "OTONABLUE" by Atarashi Gakkou (sung as a group by VJiN), "World is Mine" by Hatsune Miku ft. SUPERCELL—where, besides singing, she also played the drums—and "Koi" by Gen Hoshino..[26]
On 17 August, she held her third special event called "Pantcake Gladiator Royale," consisting of a series of battles between subscribers of her Twitch channel on a special Minecraft stage.[27]
On 24 August, she participated in the "Mario Kart Summer Madness" tournament, a competition event among several VTubers in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, organized by the VTuber Kanna Yanagi.[28]
On 28 September, she released the video for the cover "World is Mine," which was previously sung at her 3D debut two months earlier.[29]
On 14 October, she performed in the "Hashtag Fest" section of the Salón del Ocio y la Fantasía (SOFA) Event held in Bogotá, Colombia.[30]
On 31 October, the cover "Everybody," originally performed by Backstreet Boys and featuring her singing along with other VTubers from the Spanish community, was released on Eiwy Fley’s channel.[31] Also, the Spanish cover of "Zombies," sung by VJiN and originally performed by DECO27, was released on CondesaVR’s channel.[32] And finally, the cover "Ojamajo Carnival," sung by VJiN and originally performed by MAHO-Dou, was released on Mai Noboshi’s channel.[33]
On 6 December, together with VJiN, she performed at the inauguration event of the "VT World Cup 2024," singing the covers "TOMBOY" and "PARANOIA".[34]
On 21 December, she offered her first 3D concert for her birthday, directed by herself and produced by the company VSHOW PRODUCTION. She sang the covers "KING" by Kanaria, "Guitar to Kodoku to Aoi Hoshi" by Kessoku Band, "I I I" by Houshou Marine and Kobo Kanaeru (duet with Crayon), and "Ambivalent" by Uru.[35]
On 22 December, she participated in the event "Helldays Bingo," organized by the VTuber Giftschlangen with the participation of several VTubers from the Spanish community.[36]
On 28 December, she was recognized as VTuber of the Year at the "Gachis! 2024" awards. In this same event, the group VJiN was recognized as the Best VTuber Group of the Year.[37]
2025[]
On 4 January, she participated in the 3rd VTuber Nyana Banyana concert "Banyana Split," wearing a special outfit on her 3D model.[38]
On January 10, the Spanish cover "Beautiful Christmas," originally performed by Red Velvet X aespa and featuring her singing along with other VTubers from the Spanish community, was released on Eiwy Fley’s channel.[39]
On 8 February, together with the VTuber Irelyth, both presented the first edition of the VITI awards, recognizing VTubers in Spanish and produced by the company VSHOW PRODUCTION. In this same event, she won the award for "Community Favorite".[40]
On 15 February, she held her fourth special event "100 Pantcakes Dijeron -Equipos-", featuring the Vtubers Lunaria, Ryumi, Irelyth, Sayho, Cherimint, and Vomori.[41]
On 23 March, together with VJiN, she released the Spanish cover "QUEENCARD," originally performed by (G)I-DLE.[42]
On 11 April, she participated in the concert "THE FOOLS FANFARE - AN APRIL FOOLS CONCERT," organized by VTuber Hiyori Mokami, featuring over 30 VTubers from the English community.[43] That same day, she held her first test stream on the Kick platform.[44]
On 27 April, she participated in the concert "ISEKAI'D Live in Las Vegas," organized by VTuber Kōri-Oujo and screened at the Galaxy Theatres cinema in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, with more than 80 VTubers from the English community participating.[45]
On 2 May, she participated in the event "COLORSENTA GTA - Grand Theft Auto V - Roleplaying Server" organized by VTubers Nonemu, Misa Miau, and the company ColorSenta, with over 40 VTubers from various communities participating, lasting a week.[46]
On 9 May, together with VJiN, she held the event "Clash of Maids" to commemorate Maid Day (メイドの日, Maid no Hi), with the participation of 10 VTubers from the Spanish community.[47]
On 17 May, together with VJiN, she participated in the event "Gachi Gachi Festival!" organized by the production house Gachi-Zai, featuring 26 VTubers from the Spanish community.[48]
On 18 May, she released the cover "BUNNY GIRL," adapted to Spanish by herself and originally performed by AKASAKI[49]
On 11 June, she presented her first "Chuwa Direct", where she announced some of the projects she will be working on during the second half of 2025, as well as the date of her 2D model redebut.[50]
On 13 June, she started her third subathon, titled "Chuwaton 2025: Road to Redebut".[51]
On 15 June, together with VJiN, she announced their participation in the convention "Animole 2025" on September 26, 27 and 28 at the World Trade Center Mexico, where they will perform two 3D concerts, sell exclusive event merchandise and take part in other activities.[52]
On 21 June, she appeared in the karaoke relay "Chuuzerkai", as part of the event "OffKai Expo Gen 4 2025".[53]
On 28 June, she took part in the event "Vtuber Minecraft Server VSMP 2", which included over 120 vtubers from the English and Spanish-speaking communities, both agency-affiliated and independent, and featured various events and activities.[54]
On 4 July, she performed in the 3D concert "Nyana's Summer 3D Graduation Concert!", organized by the Vtuber Nyana Banyana. There, she sang her cover of "Ambivalent" by Uru.[55]
On 6 July, together with VJiN, she launched the pre-sale of exclusive merchandise for their upcoming 3D concert at Animole 2025. The merchandise is produced by the company SMKR Co.[56]
On 11 July, she participated in the karaoke relay "ROAD TO SUMMER RELAY", organized by the vtuber Hiyori Mokami, part of the independent group "Ephemira".[57]
On 18 July, she released the video for her cover of "Ambivalent" by Uru on her YouTube channel.[58]
On 9 August, she participated in the "VTUBER HOCKEY LEAGUE", an event organized by the VTuber RORO, who belongs to the English-language VTuber group "Re:Loop".[59]
On 19 August, she held her fifth special event called "Pantcake Smackdown", which is an evolution of the "Pantcake Gladiator Royale" event held a year earlier, where battles between her channel’s subscribers took place in a special Minecraft setting.[60]
On 29 August, she held her sixth special event, “CORRE, SALTA, PEAK” (Run, Jump, Peak), in which 40 Vtubers from the Spanish and English communities participated, with Vomori serving as the narrator along with Shura.[61]
On 31 August, she participated in the "Mario Kart Summer Madness 2025" tournament, a competition event among several VTubers in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, organized by the VTuber Kanna Yanagi.[62]
On 20 September, she makes her re-debut, changing her design to a more streamlined one with different clothing, while retaining many features of her previous design.[63]
On September 25, the Spanish cover of "Ma Meilleure Ennemie", originally performed by Stromae and Pomme, premiered on Eiwy Fley’s channel, where she participated singing a duet in Spanish, English, and French.[64]
From 26 to 28 September, she appeared together with VJiN at "AniMole 3 - La Mole Convention", held at the International Exhibition and Convention Center of the World Trade Center, Mexico City. On this event, they held several Meet & Greets with fans and 2 performances of their 3D concert titled "Yūgen Mirror".[65]

- She is the leader of a group called "Shake Gang", which her fans are also part of. The name is a play on "sha-ke" (しゃけ), the Japanese word for salmon.
- She has played the drums since she was very young.
