Stryker Dawson (Stryker & The Goons) is an American Virtual YouTuber, owner of the ★GxG Vtuber Project★, and father to another virtual youtuber, Umi Miho. He shares his channel with other virtual youtubers, personas & other creators, out of the characters that appear on the channel, he's most prominently seen playing Stryker, as well as Jack Ragna and Santana Von Harris, better known as "The Safari Man."

Personality[]

Stryker is, in short, eccentric and terrifying at first. His infamy comes from his stubborn nature and fighting any semblance of adversity thrown at him. While this does often land him in controversy, Stryker comes across well versed and educated when he wishes to, while at other times, completely throwing caution to the wind and taking on drama head-on without any prior preparation. He's previously cited that it's due to drama being relatively boring and monotonous, and at least in this form, it "spices it up". Outside of this, he comes across as a charismatic, confident, and stubborn individual, who is relatively fond of women.

He whole-heartedly states he puts comedy and self-fulfillment above all else, and refuses to let anything get in the way of creating content and appeasing the masses. Above all else, Stryker values himself as an entertainer, and states he enjoys it more than anything in the world. As such, he always puts the entertainment, the people showcased, and the projects to accelerate to new horizons, above all else. This clearly pushes him to act as a workaholic, rarely ever taking breaks, or missing weekly uploads.

Stryker has also gone on record to state he frowns upon "half-assed work" and is very critical of those who don't assert their 100% into their confidence as a creator, and their final product. Overall, Stryker can be off-putting, tone-deaf, and completely unaware at times. But, he's also shown to be loyal, dedicated, hardworking, and a comedian to the core. Whether or not this is a character or on purpose, is unknown.

Overworld Mode[]

Stryker's classic look involved a green jacket with golden buttons, and a tan and/or grey tee-shirt underneath, along with khaki-like brown pants, black boots, a hat belonging to an airline pilot captain, a pair of aviators, and occasionally golden trim and a Cross of Christ around his neck. His pilot's hat will frequently contain a star, the representation is unknown.

Boss-fight Mode[]

In this mode, stryker appears with no shirt at all, but instead, a green cape. alongside this cape are brown pants of a heavier degree, a strap full of bullets adorning his chest, a pair of combat boots, his infamous hat, and a tattoo across one bicep reading "M4Gi" which is the logo of a band he's apart of alongside Umi Miho and 4 other Vtubers.

Encore Mode[]

This mode only appears during musical performances, it consists of a green and yellow suit, similar to the suit worn by Kiryu Kazuma.

Background[]

Stryker started his work as early as 2014, self teaching himself the basics of most content creation. originally, this virtual creator started as an real-life creator, before transitioning over to purely virtual youtuber format in late 2021. he founded GxG under a multitude of names before finally coming to what its officially show as in the modern day, and throughout the years, has taken on many talents and roles.

these are extended but not limited to: infamous game troll, a large variety of game modding, musical production, editorial production, creative directing for the GxG official manga series, as well as writing the entirety of the GxG official manga series, which lead to mentorship of other creators, and of course, virtual youtube talent management.

Stryker can commonly be seen telling people they "Can't Handle The Dawson Style" which seems to be an ode to an episode of Jimmy Neutron.
Stryker's name is a play on "Strike 'Er Down Son!" and originates from his teenage years on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
Stryker's group got its original start as "The Stryker Ops" which originated as a Black Ops 2 Clan.
Stryker's character originally started as a PNG of the character "Palmer" from the Battle Frontier in Pokémon: Platinum. This slowly evolved into its own original design over time.
Stryker commonly screams "OW MY PUSSY!" when receiving damage, or dying, in video games. Due to him not having female genitalia, It's unclear if its a reference to something, or just a shocking exclamation,
Stryker has stated his trolling on online games stems from inspirations such as Zuthar13, Pixelcat, Dacoobers, and recently, Soup.
Stryker has 1 editor he occasionally hires, and he tried to hook this editor up with Filian during her talent show to a crowd of around 8000 viewers.
Stryker has stated his music origins started with NateWantsToBattle, but evolved with his infatuation with artists like Mori Calliope, Suisei Hoshimachi, Little V, and Amalee. He states his rapping inspirations stem from Yung Gravy, BBNO$, Xanakin Skywok, PACKGOD, and Eminem.
Stryker is the head designer behind most of the original characters in GxG, this includes the Designs for Umi Miho's music group, M4Gi (which he is also an active member of).
