Tacitly is a VSinger/VTuber/virtual idol group with three generations, active since 2017. The group exists to serve as "a bridge between Japan and China." Tacitly members primarily speak in Japanese and Chinese, but some members like Ciel also speak English.

Heart X Algorhythm[]
Tacitly appears in "Live Animation Heart X Algorhythm, a "live broadcast anime" that has aired for three seasons so far. The anime combines a scripted anime storyline with live segments similar to a variety show. The show is referred to as Kilin & Xi AI Rhythm (麟犀AI韵律) in China and Heart x Algorhythm (直感×アルゴリズム) in Japan.[2]
Season 1[]
Season 1, featuring Kilin and Xi, focuses on the origins of Tacitly as "idols that bridge relationships between Japan and China". The season has eight episodes and is fully available with English subtitles.[3]
The first season is in full 3D VTuber form for both anime and live segments.
Season 2[]
Season 2, featuring Linlin and Xi, focuses on Tacitly entering an AI idol tournament called the Fever Pitch Festival. The season has 17 episodes with English subtitles for the anime portion. Linlin and Xi are referred to as Kilin and Xi in the dialogue and subs.[4]
The second season combines 2D animated story anime segements with "live animation", where Tacitly appears in 3D VTuber form. The anime portions of Heart X Algorhythm have English subs through YouTube's caption service but the live broadcast segments only have Japanese hardsubs.
Season 3[]
Season 3 features Lilia and Ciel. The third season's format has shifted to full live streams with a focus on talk and music performances. The streams have automatic captions and translations for Japanese, English, and Chinese. The "After Talk Lession" segments are released in Japanese, English, and Chinese versions where Lilia and Ciel speak in each respective language.[5][6][7]
Season 3 started with 10 "Lessons" with Second Tacitly and Third Tacitly.[8] After this, the format shifted to a talk and music performance show format in which Lilia and Ciel stream from a set called the Tacitly House. These streams don't have English subtitles.
