Template[]

I've got a generator template Module:NewCharacter that you might find useful for autogenerating the new article, but the page is locked. Paste this code into the page and save. BeardWizard (talk) 01:10, 7 July 2021 (UTC)

Edit: Now that the article is established, please unlock the page for editing. BeardWizard (talk) 06:28, 10 July 2021 (UTC)

Grammar issues[]

There are many grammar issues that I'd like to fix in the History section, but I don't have permission. I'm assuming there is no way to request protected edit permission? Lukini (talk) 21:49, 7 July 2021 (UTC)

Translation[]

Because this page is under protection, I can't edit this page. I just want to add that the IRyS article has an Indonesian version with the same title. I hope the admin can add the Indonesian version of the link to this article. Ramazansyah 02:28, 9 July 2021 (UTC)

Template for Video Links[]

I've noticed that video link references (e.g Youtube) have their properties ordered in a specific way on this page vs the default Link Template when adding references:

Default Link Template: url, title, author, site, date, account, type
Links on this page: url, title, author, account, date, type, site

Because of this, it forces me to have to go through each link reference added in Source Mode, and re-order the properties by hand which is very prone to error in my opinion and also cumbersome to constantly fix for future edits unaware of this specific order.

As I'm relatively new to editing, I'm not sure if 1) there's an easier and better way of creating a Link Reference with this specific ordering, 2) We should not bother with ordering it in this specific way if it's different from the default Template, or maybe 3) we need to update the Default Link Template to have this ordering? Answer: You don't have to do anything the order in IRyS article and pretty much any article on the wiki is the one displayed on articles. Url-title-author-account-date-type-site. Just copy paste the templates already in the article and edit them for new references, eventually you will memorize the order.

Thank you, I'll do that for future references. I'm still wondering, though: If this order is the one that's used on this article and any article on the wiki, then shouldn't the default Link template (when you go to Insert Template -> Link when inserting a reference) order it in this way, then? It would be a great QoL change for editors. This is based off my assumptions on how the templates work so forgive me if I'm running my mouth. Ccoddes
