Ushio Ebi (潮えび) is an independent British Vtuber, who debuted on the 27th of December 2020. She is a saltwater prawn (shrimp) who took up a human form to create music.

On her YouTube channel, she mostly streams Minecraft, gacha games, and other chill/laid-back video games. On special occasions, she will don her kazoo for a kazoo concert.

Personality

Ebi is a happy bubbly shrimp who is physically incapable of frowning. She opens every stream with "henlo everybody" and is almost always upbeat and positive.

She will often times obsess over characters such as Lumen from Arknights or Lee from Punishing Gray Raven and often times go on tangents about the story or gameplay that she's passionate about such as her not liking the protagonist of Genshin Impact and Paimon.

Appearance

Ebi appears in a ruffled pink dress swimsuit hybrid with a white jacket with turquoise accents. Her jacket has a name tag with her name, Ebi, in hiragana. She also dons a cyan fish choker and two yellow beads in her hair and a pink hairpin with her name written on it. She is often seen with a miniature snail version of herself who she has named Snebi.

She has long pink hair, turquoise eyes, and two strands of hair similar to the whiskers/antennae of a shrimp.

Voice

While according to Ebi she suffers from being British, she will normally speak in an American accent. However, she is able to switch between her British and American accents if she chooses to.

History

Background

Ebi was chosen through an audition to fill the soul of her avatar. She posted her first tweet on the 19th of November 2020. She debuted on the 27 of December on YouTube. On the debut stream, she not only introduced herself, but she also did a speedrun of Portal.

2020

On the 29th of December, she streamed Minecraft for the first time.

2021

On the 7th of January, she did her first collab, where she played Minecraft together with Muushiboo.

On 7 July streamed Genshin Impact for the first time starting her descent into gacha hell.

2022

On Sep 9 Ebi first streams Arknights and starts to shift to primarily streaming gacha games.

2023

On 27 April she raps as Pulao from punishing gray raven.
