Warabeda Meiji (童田明治) was a female Japanese Virtual YouTuber affiliated with NIJISANJI. A curious 11-year-old fifth-grader who often takes the long way home from school. She lives with her grandmother.[1]

A shy and curious 11-year-old girl, Warabeda Meiji is an avid singer with a powerful singing voice. She is a well-read otaku who enjoys watching anime and singing anisongs, and familiar with series even older than she is thanks to her grandmothers' influence.
Initially presenting herself as a beginner at gaming, Meiji has later revealed that she has clocked in over 10,000 hours of gameplay in Final Fantasy XIV (419 days 18 hours 33 minutes).[2], is an avid raider in Granblue Fantasy and is ranked Gold in League of Legends after her debut[3]. While Meiji is a very shy person in general, she opens up and has been known to be a chatterbox regarding topics that she is passionate about, including hardcore Final Fantasy XIV raiding.[4]
Despite her gaming background, Meiji primarily produces singing and ASMR content on her channel.

She has medium length light brown hair in braided pigtails and light, bright green eyes. She has an animal ear red-riding hood style hooded cape.

Meiji made her YouTube debut on 10 January 2019 alongside Kudo Chitose as the first batch of Liver debuts under NIJISANJI following the group's consolidation of branches.
2019[]
On 9 October, Meiji debuted the 2.0 brushup of her Live2D model.
2020[]
Warabeda Meiji had performed live in 3D On 6 June, Meiji revealed her 3D model debut stream had been postponed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic (It was originally scheduled for April).[5] One week later, Meiji announced she would finally be able to hold the stream on 19 June.[6]
On 19 June, Meiji debuted her official 3D model on YouTube with an Anisong karaoke concert livestream.[7]
On 21 October, Meiji had experienced extreme nausea[8] which had resulted in cancellation of several planned streams and event appearances culminating in the announcement of a formal medical hiatus on 28 December via Rain Drops' official channel citing throat complications.[9]
2021[]
On 12 April, Meiji had formally ended her hiatus, though she is still undergoing medical treatment.[10]
2022[]
On 31 March, Meiji announced that she would graduate from NIJISANJI on 30 April due to health conditions after 3 years under NIJISANJI.[11][12]
On 8 June, two months after her graduation, Meiji made a guest appearance on Suzuki Masaru's 3D debut as part of Rain Drops.[13]
Rain Drops[]
On 13 May 2020, NIJISANJI had announced the formation of a music unit "Rain Drops" and they would be signed under the major music record label Virgin Records (Universal Music Group) which included Meiji alongside other NIJISANJI members Elu, Ryushen, Suzuki Masaru, Joe Rikiichi, and Saegusa Akina. The group has since released two EPs, Synesthesia and Ontology, a concert album Acoustic Concert 'Kaika Sengen' and two singles Refrains and Ashita wa Nichiyōbi , with an upcoming full album Biography slated for September 2021.

- On 20 September 2019, Meiji was invited as one of the hosts for KLab's Creative Fes 2019.
- On 9 February 2020, Meiji performed in the Zepp concert tour NIJISANJI JAPAN TOUR 2020 Shout in the Rainbow! at the Zepp Sapporo venue, revealing her 3D model for the first time.[14]
- On 22 Jul 2021, Meiji and vocaloid producer/pianist marasy8 collaborated to hold a concert organised by Nico Nico Douga.
- Meiji will perform at Rain Drop's first solo concert "Uten Kekkō" held at Tokyo Garden Theatre on August 26, 2021.

- Both Warabeda Meiji and her batchmate Kudou Chitose are collectively known as Kōhaku Aho Gassen (紅白アホ合戦 lit. Red-White Dummy Battle), a pun on NHK's annual New Year-music program Kōhaku Uta Gassen (紅白歌合戦 lit. Red-White Song Battle).
- Meiji shares the same character designer with fellow NIJISANJI members Mononobe Alice, Otogibara Era and Azuchi Momo.
- Mononobe Alice, Warabeda Meiji and Otogibara Era have their designs based on fairy tale characters and are collectively known as the Dōwa-gumi (童話組 lit. Fairy Tale Group).
- Warabeda Meiji and Otogibara Era had frequently collaborated under the unit name Gabriella (がぶりえら lit. Gaburiera), a portmanteau of Meiji's greeting 'Gabu-gabu' and Era.
- Though claiming herself as 11 years old, Kenmochi Toya, as one of the famous lolicons in VTuber, refuses to acknowledge that she is a loli.
- Meiji is a big fan of Vocaloid producer Jin, who eventually went on to collaborate with her during the production of Rain Drops' second EP contributing the songs Ontology and Amakotoba.
- As of 4 Oct 2020, Meiji has sung over a thousand songs while livestreaming.[21][22]
- Meiji has cleared two of the three Ultimate-level encounters in Final Fantasy XIV, The Unending Coil of Bahamut and The Weapon's Refrain.
- Owing to the graduation of Otogibara Era, a collaboration with Unison League which had initially planned to sponsor commemorative Live2D models for the pair has been postponed indefinitely[23]
