YUY_IX is an independent female Canadian VTuber. She initially started online as a PNGTuber before acquiring a Live2D model. Since her 1.0 debut, YUY has been using a 3D model based on her 1.0 design. She primarily streams on Twitch but also uploads content on YouTube, focusing mainly on short-form videos due to her short attention span.^{[citation needed]}

Personality

YUY has a soft and comforting side, conveyed through her kind and smooth voice. Despite being one of the most teased VTubers on the Twitch platform, she maintains a warm and friendly persona. When she's teased or stuck in video games, YUY's "gremlin side" emerges, characterized by barking, hissing, monke sounds, humorous (and empty) threats, and playful displays of strength, like hitting her desk (0.1 DMG). YUY is quick to thank compliments, often leading her to be baited by cleverly disguised insults.

YUY finds joy in playing video games, watching content, singing, making music, and even venturing outside (though this is cope).^{[citation needed]} She has a particular fondness for horror games, especially those set in liminal spaces or within the analog horror genre. YUY's love for analog horror extends beyond games, as it's the only type of content that can hold her attention for more than five minutes.

YUY has showcased her musical talents in both spontaneous and planned music streams. Although she has played the piano since childhood, she humbly considers herself only slightly above average. However, her musical abilities are evident in her impressive skill of playing songs by ear—a talent she has possessed since she was young. While YUY may be shy at first, once she begins singing (and drinking), the rest of the stream becomes a delightful experience for her viewers.

Appearance

She has shoulder-length chromatic hair with short twintails on the sides that are tied with white bows. Her eyes are pastel green. She wears a chromatic sleeveless bodysuit, and on top of that she wears a black garter belt that holds her Ko Katana (a shorter version of a Katana) and gun (similarly modeled after a 1911). A little higher she wears a white blouse with long puffy sleeves. She also wears black gloves, heels and unmatched socks with gradient. She's an angel, so as seen in her old reference sheet, she has three pair of wings with different colored eyes on them.

Yuy's YouTube account was created on 28 September 2022. She made an official 2D debut on Twitch on 20 May, 2023. Then later she made a debut on YouTube on 29 June, 2024.

2023

On 24 May, she reached 1,000 Twitch followers.

On 18 August, she became a Twitch Partner.

On 20 September, she reached 10,000 subscribers on YouTube after uploading her first video.

On 31 October, she reached 10,000 Twitch followers.

2024

In early February, YUY did her first Sub-A-Thon.

On 24 June, she reached 50,000 subscribers on YouTube.

Her fans are called The Yupils (formerly Yooglies). Also known as Yoomers (degenerate), Yultists (in fiction) or Yuglys (in truth). Their design consists with a singular green eye, a white bald body and a two pair of wings. They also wear blouse and black shorts and socks.
