Yugo Asuma's introduction.
Profile[]
A DJ from the future with a deep passion for music.
He can put you in a trance with his voice and his beats.[2]
Personality[]
Yugo is an energetic, headstrong man with an intense zest for life. He is very affectionate towards his fans, frequently giving out hugs and kisses over Twitter. He is a frequent target for pranks by his debut-mates and has a standing rivalry with his video editor, but he is also quick to demonstrate that all of this is in good fun. While he has little shame around unseiso topics for the most part, he does get flustered when his debut-mates flirt with each other in front of him.
Appearance[]
He has sharp, dark blue hair with light blue highlights underneath and light blue eyes and a silver lightning bolt shaped earring.
History[]
Background[]
On 18 June 2021, NIJISANJI EN opened two sets of auditions, one of which was specifically for male Livers. The male-specific auditions lasted until 1 August.[3]

Yugo's YouTube channel was created on 7 February 2022, and his Twitter account also created in the same month. His first tweet was made on 22 February 2021.
Debut[]
Noctyx made their debuts on 27 February 2022 (JST) as part of a special debut program hosted on the NIJISANJI EN channel, with commentary provided by Reimu Endou and Ike Eveland. Yugo was set to be the last member to debut, but due to technical difficulties he was unable to hold his debut stream as planned. Afterwards, all five members of Noctyx appeared on the main channel.
An original song sung by Noctyx, "Stuck in The Abyss", was released shortly after the debut program. The lyrics and music were by MATZ and BBY NABE, and the song was produced by the former.[5]

Retirement[]
On 14 December, ANYCOLOR announced that Yugo graduated on the same day, claiming that "[up] until today, numerous discussions have been held with Yugo Asuma on what it means to be a Liver affiliated with a company. However, despite our discussions many aspects of his activities and behavior as a Liver could not be accepted as a company, and after much deliberation between both parties, as a company who supports many Livers from NIJISANJI and NIJSIANJI EN, we have decided to have Yugo Asuma graduate." His YouTube channel and social media accounts were deleted, and sale of merchandise and voice content will be suspended.[14][15] This marked the first graduation of NIJISANJI EN.

- Twitter hashtags: #Noctyx
Trivia[]
Identity[]
- Color: #1F51FF[1]
- Yugo is a beginner level DJ.[1] He came from the future to this timeline after violating Article 277 of the android regime.[20]
- Yugo's native language is Japanese. He can also speak English, Korean, and Thai, but he "does not have the basics", so he doesn't consider himself to be that skillful in languages. His English grammar and pronunciation are not perfect, but the other Noctyx members are always correcting him and helping him to improve.[1]
- Ike Eveland (referred to as sensei by Yugo) suggested that he learn English as a way to make friends.[20]
Likes and dislikes[]
- Yugo loves creating and listening to music. He likes looking for good sound/music samples. He also likes singing; prior to becoming a DJ, he was a vocalist.[21]
- Yugo loves rock bands like ONE OK ROCK, SPYAIR, UVERworld, and Ling tosite Sigure. ONE OK ROCK is his favorite of these.[22] His favorite SPYAIR songs are "Samurai Heart" and "Liar".[23]
- DJs/producers that Yugo likes include David Guetta, Avicii, DJ JP, and MOONBOY. Yugo once went to Las Vegas to see David Guetta but was ultimately unable to.[22]
- VOCALOID producers that Yugo likes include 164, Giga, DECO*27, and wowaka.[22]
- Other music artists and bands that Yugo likes include Hiroyuki Sawano, Hikaru Utada, QUEEN BEE, Linkin Park, Avril Lavigne, Fall Out Boy, Maroon 5, Billie Eilish, 5 Seconds of Summer, Porno Graffitti, Doja Cat, KIRA, RΞOL, Nirvana, Queen, Ado, yama, The Chainsmokers, Marshmello, Skrillex, Imagine Dragons, L'Arc-en-Ciel, Twenty One Pilots, Ed Sheeran, TeddyLoid, SiM, nano, and MY FIRST STORY.[22]
- Yugo has a passion for graphic design and made all of the graphics in his debut stream (excluding the radio station background) all by himself.[21]
- Yugo loves entertainment media like movies, music, and shows.[21]
- Yugo likes to drink milkshakes, sometimes as a meal replacement.[21] His favorite flavors are vanilla and strawberry (in that order).[24]
- Yugo likes rainbow shots.[21]
- Yugo loves "complete foods", in other words, food that can be eaten with one hand (e.g., burgers, sandwiches, wraps, onigiri) due to the convenience they provide.[21]
- Yugo likes making friends around the world.[21]
- Yugo likes Noctyx and his fellow kyoudai and appreciates the help they provide.[21]
- Yugo hates androids for taking everything away from him. However, he does not hate Fulgur Ovid (referred to as Fuu-chan by Yugo) since he is technically a cyborg.[25]
- Yugo respects rules but hates stupid rules and restrictions with no base.[25]
- Yugo dislikes peanuts due to his peanut allergy. He hates chocolate and finds it disgusting. He dislikes melon due to the smell.[25]
- Yugo dislikes English grammar and thus following @DuoLingo.[25]
- Anime series that Yugo likes include: Tokyo Ghoul, Kakegurui, Fullmetal Alchemist, DEVILMAN Crybaby, Panty and Stocking, Guilty Crown, Nana, Kill la Kill, My Dress-Up Darling, Gintama, Dororo, Deadman Wonderland, Jujutsu Kaisen,
Prison School, Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, and Banana Fish. "Tokyo Ghoul" is his favorite series.[26] - Yugo loves "bitches" (in the 'virgin bitch' character type context, where a female character, often from the kogal subculture, assumed to be vain and promiscuous is actually earnest and wholesome[27]) because he finds them mesmerizing and cute. Yugo gives "My Dress-Up Darling" as an example.[28] This led to confusion and amusement among English-speaking fans; "bitch" in English has a variety of uses, most of which are derogatory and used to indicate that someone is unpleasant. "Bitch" in regular Japanese use is still derogatory but specifically refers to promiscuous women; it is not a general purpose insult.[29][30]
- Video games that Yugo likes include: Devil May Cry series, Kingdom Hearts series, Final Fantasy series, Nier series, Genshin Impact, and Life Is Strange. He used "Devil May Cry" as a reference to learn how to talk back to bullies in international school. Yugo also used to play "Tsum Tsum".[26]
- Yugo hates "pien face",[31] which is the Japanese name for the Pleading Face emoticon and a popular Japanese meme.
- Yugo is a dog person, despite having a slight allergy. He used to have a Miniature Pinscher, who he believes still watches over him after her death.
- His favorite season is autumn.
Miscellaneous[]
- Yugo shares his character designer with Ibrahim from the main NIJISANJI branch, as well as Lucien Lunaris from FIRST STAGE PRODUCTION EN.
- As seen in Yugo's lore video, his headphones help to maintain his mental stability.[21]
- The androids that confront Yugo in his lore video are similar in appearance to Fulgur Ovid (e.g., similar eye markings, same limbs, same neck collar).
- Ike Eveland, Sonny Brisko, Alban Knox, Nina Kosaka, and Petra Gurin all have speaking roles in Yugo's lore video.[32][33]
- In his debut stream, Yugo mistyped the month in his birthday as "July" instead of "June".[1] He later referenced this typo with his "wAIT ToDAY iS My BIrTHdaY??" Tweet on 4 July 2022.
- Yugo used to smoke, but quit shortly before his debut.
- He mentioned declining his previous invitation to NIJISANJI EN despite passing the auditions the first time because he lacked confidence in his English skills, but after seeing Luxiem debut he was inspired to try again.[34]
- This is also why Christmas is a special holiday for him, because it was around the time of the Luxiem's debut.
- Yugo has "6 packs [sic] [abs]".[35]
- He doesn't have a driver's license.
- When speaking Japanese, he calls himself ore.
