Zuzu Mizuchi is an English-Language VTuber associated with IRIAM US. She is a Mizuchi, a type of water dragon from Japanese mythology, though she doesn't have any special powers. Her main streaming platforms are Twitch and the IRIAM app, though she also often simulcasts her Twitch streams to YouTube. She mostly plays retro games, including JPRGs and strange, mostly-forgotten PC games.

Personality[]

Zuzu is a sweet and accommodating streamer who tries to help people feel relaxed and comfortable. At the same time, she is very open about her sexual preferences and masochistic tendencies, encouraging her chat to make jokes about her which would be inappropriate in other environments. While she often enjoys teasing, she also appreciates support and encouragement, especially when struggling in a video game or trying something outside of her comfort zone. Altogether, Zuzu is a very unique streamer who can bring a lot of joy to those with the right disposition.

Appearance[]

Zuzu is a small girl with dragon horns and a long tail, thin at the end but thick at the base. She has long, messy white hair topped by her signature large bow, which is tied up out of her own hair. She also has pointed ears, a distinctive eye shape, and a very small chest.

In her original outfit, she wears a green, white, and red hakama. The top has a yagasuri pattern of green and white feathers, swinging sleeves akin to those seen on a furisode, white ruffles at the cuffs and collars, and a lacey white cravat around her neck. The skirt is bright red with visible strips of green between the folds, a green seigaiha wave pattern at the bottom, a stylized dragon head figure on the bow at her waist, and pins in the shape of flowers and four-pointed stars. She wears black boots with red socks visible through cutouts on top of her feet, with one sock held up by a short suspender. Her hair has a single white braid on her right side, and by default she holds her arms up in a fearsome "gao!" pose.

In her second outfit, she wears a mint-green dress with a bright red corset, which has gold trim and dark green sides. The dress is supported by ruffled red and white straps, connecting to her bodice with green Chinese-inspired ties. Her skirt is printed with small dragon heads on the top mint green layer, which covers a red layer with gold trim, and finally a white layer with thin mint green stripes, ending at mid-thigh. She has detached sleeves with puffy mint green tops, green and gold ties at the elbows, which then widen out until revealing a layer of red with gold ruffles. She also wears a red and green choker, a red and white garter, and green Mary Janes with white ruffled socks. Her hair is now held in messy twintails by white ribbons with mint green stripes, and small green flowers adorn one of her horns. She appears to have a slightly-larger chest, but this is owed entirely to the corset.

Zuzu debuted on both the IRIAM and Twitch platforms on 18 November 2024.

2024[]

On 2 December, her model received some updates, including draconic fangs and the ability to put her arms down. These updates couldn't be displayed on the IRIAM app.

2025[]

Zuzu placed second in the IRIAM Live2D Style Switch event, which ran between 28 January and 3 February. The top two winners would receive new Live2D model outfits. Her second outfit was designed by her friend Cecihime and produced by LinkedBrainJP. She debuted the new outfit on May 16th, mostly replacing her original design.

On 7 April, she used her 3D model for the first time. She would continue to use the 3D model for a subset of her streams and Twitter posts going forward.

On 30 May, Zuzu participated in an IRIAM meet and greet event at VTuber Fan Events' V:IRL Event at the High Tide in Downtown Los Angeles.

On 21 June, she had another meet and greet at the IRIAM booth at Offkai 2025.

Zuzu was the winner of the IRIAM x tsun scoops Sweet Collab Treat event, which ran between 22 and 28 July. From 27 September through 10 October, winners would receive a custom ice cream flavor at Tsun Scoops in Garden Grove California, along with having their cutouts displayed in the store and having a hoodie sold online.

Starting on 27 September, the Iriam Tsun Scoops collaboration event ran in Garden Grove California, showcasing Zuzu alongside fellow winners Anu Ochre and Hiumi Subaru. Zuzu's custom flavor, Marshmallow Dragon's Tail, was pistachio ice cream with marshmallow. Her picture was displayed in the store window, a standee was placed inside the store, and orders of Marshmallow Dragon's Tail included a spoon with a Zuzu sticker at the end. A Zuzu hoodie was also made available through the Tsun Scoops webstore. This event ran until 10 October.

On 29 September, Zuzu obtained ownership of her IP after completeing Iriam's requirements.

Zuzu became an official Twitch partner on 16 December, just over a year after her debut.

  • Zuzu is a submissive masochist, which has become a frequent topic on her streams.
  • She has a plethora of mental diagnoses, including autism and traumatic brain injury. While the topic can get pretty serious, she's very comfortable joking about it.
  • She's moved around a lot in her life, including living in Japan for several years. She spoke Japanese at the time, but is no longer confident in her ability to do so.
  • Zuzu was once choked unconscious by a baby.
  • She had a traumatic response to Super Mario Sunshine, which she struggled greatly with as a child. When she first started streaming, she failed to beat the first boss, prompting a friend to tell her she wasn't cut out to be a streamer. Fueled by rage and spite, she beat the game on stream on 30 June 2025.
  • Zuzu loves lolita clothing and other girly clothes like sundresses, which she wears all the time, including while streaming and sleeping.
